Hi carl1969. I sometimes get left sided chest pain also. My doctor did an ECG and it was normal so no further investigation was done. Unfortunately I still don’t know the cause of it. As my ECG was normal I assumed it’s caused by indigestion. I would advice to have any chest pains checked by a medical doctor as people with CKD is at a much higher risk of heart attacks and stroke than people without. If you found out what caused it I would be interested to hear it. Best of luck.

Sounds like you are out of alignment. I had the very same thing happen. Left chest pain and stomach pain. Thought I was having a heart attack. I was out of town, but went to urgi care. Also had a normal EKG. When I saw my DO, he immediately said being out of alignment can cause the same symptoms of a heart attack. I got several adjustments over the next few weeks from him and have been doing strength training to build the support muscles around that area. Haven’t had any more issues.

Thanks for the info Zazzel. Can I just clarify, When you say “out of alignment, are you referring to your spine?” I will look into it.

Actually my ribs were out of alignment. Same thing happened to one of my friends which she to,d me after I told her what happened. Apparently quite common. Both of us had left chest pain. I also felt pain right below the xiphoid process / high stomach area.

Your kidneys don't cause pain by themselves. To me, your issues do not sound kidney related. Kidneys cause discomfort if you have an infection, kidney stones or a blockage, but not on their own. Chances are it could be a muscle strain, especially if it hurts when you lie down. If it keeps up, you should ask your PCP about it.
