My creatine went up a little. My specialist said drink more water, so I am. But is that an indication of making my kidney work better? He did not say if it would help.

Drink lots of water. Exercise. Eat kidney-friendly meals. Watch your medications for everything. Learn all you can about CKD and you'll empower yourself to stay healthy and strong.

"Flushing" when your kidneys (or nephrons) are damaged or failing is a thing of a past for CKD or ESRD patients. The toxins (including sodium -- terrible if you have high blood pressure) stay in your blood and travel in your body causing many issues, including soreness, itching, cramps, high blood pressure, lethargy, etc.. Healthy kidneys regulate the water in your blood, and too much water and waste products in your blood as a result of your kidneys not being fully functional can cause heart and lung issues.

True, thanks! This is very stage specific and should follow the nephrologists advice!
