Worried about blood results

Hi All,The reason I am worried is,I have been asked for five lots of blood results in the last month. I have lots of health issues but these bloods look worrying. I am seeing my GP next Tuesday, but that's a long time when I'm worried. Right now I'll put some results up,and I'm grateful to anyone who can help.

They read: GFR calculated abbreviated MDRD 58 ml/min <60.00ml/min

EGFR Comment GFRs between 45-59 and 30 -44 consistent with CKD3a and CKD3b respectively.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Strictly to answer your request for help understanding lab values there is a website that I use and recommend you look at. Every lab where the testing is done has different protocols, however, you can get some understanding of what they are looking at. Remember to develop your own questions to ask the physician what they suspect and why.

Hi Gemini 71 I had a random EGFR of 56 just before Xmas totally unexpected as no symptoms of kidney disease. Had it retested 2 weeks later back up to >60. Keeping my fingers crossed for you at Dr, let us know how it goes 🙂
