I found out I have CKD stage 3 by chance when I needed a summary of my illness to a private doctor i was seeing for unrelated illness. When i asked my gp about it he was very dismissive and said it was nothing to worry about my rheumatologist looked through my details and said that it was fine now. Can i just get better like that even though i have pain there and get bloods took to check it. I have other autoimmune diseases such as scleroderma fibromyalgia and raynauds.
CKD stage 3 : I found out I have CKD stage... - Kidney Disease
CKD stage 3
I found out by accident also. I do have stage 3 CKD it’s ridiculous. I wish mine would go away
Sadly, once you've reached stage 3 CKD it is irreversible. I had stage 3 for 10-11 (ish) years before finally slipping into stage 4 and am now in stage 5 seven months later. I was born with mine and have been dealing with weird diet/exercise regimens since I can remember and my first nephologist had to give me a big fat dose of a reality check when I was a kid since I didn't understand why I was doing the things I was doing so I could stay healthy and I was refusing to take my medications.
I highly recommend that you Insist to see see a nephrologist and track this. If they refuse to refer you, find another doctor. This disease is not kind by any means and the key to prolonging function is early intervention! Staying in good general health will also serve you well.
I also have fibromyalgia and raynauds and they aren't fun. Mine were complications of CKD and I also have gout. Like I said, this disease isn't kind and other symptoms can pop up which are terrible to deal with if left untreated.
Good luck!
Thank you for your advice I will ask rheumatologist to refer me to nephologist
