hello everyone I was diagnosed with ckd stage 3a a couple of months ago came totally out the blue I didn't get told about straight away apparently my doctor said I've been borderline for the last 7 years I feel angry that I didn't get told sooner because I could have changed my diet and exercise more 😟
ckd stage 3a: hello everyone I was... - Kidney Disease
ckd stage 3a
I also diagnosed with 3a in January and looks like only option is proper diet and some exercise.
Your experience with medics is common purely because they cannot do much or anything at that stage. See comments on the earlier stage 3a post for advice, if required. Good luck
Best ideas at this point is (if needed)
Stop smoking. Control blood pressure. Control blood sugar. Exercise regularly. Lose weight. Stop taking any NSAIDS meds. Stay properly hydrated. Avoid sodas. Treat infections promptly. See doctor and get blood work as advised.

I was diagnosed at 3b with similar situation. Previous Doctor did nothing about declining eGFR, and actually prescribed NSAID for arthritis.
Prescribed CKD diet and exercise has helped me.
Keep us posted on your progress.

agree with everyone here. The PCP docS can only do so much at stage 3a. You will want to find and work with the right nephrologist who can monitor your progress every 3-4 months & monitor your blood work (CMP/BMP, CDC, etc).
You will need to make some dietary changes (drastic reduction in sodium, exercise, eat more veggie than meat, no NSAID). And for me, constant monitoring and maintaining of blood pressure was very important. Speak to your nephrologist about what blood pressure goals you need and if meds are recommended - if dietary changes make no improvement.
Good luck!
Your situation is what happens in the vast majority of cases.
