Week one!

First week trying to eat a bit healthier and staying within recommended calories! I’ve been having my homemade tomato soup (lots made and in the freezer!!), and also as suggested last time I posted, I’ve been making my own ceaser chicken wraps instead of going to Costa! If I’m on a long day at work, I’ve been having carrot and hummus (which I used to hate but now love!) and my snacks have been bananas and low calorie cereal bars. Then a healthy dinner when I get home!

I’m ALWAYS hungry, but starting to learn it’s not real hunger, and drinking water when I’d usually snack. Felt a bit naughty having a large Starbucks when I popped to town on my lunch break, but because I’m lactose intolerant, I have almond milk and the calories were a lot less than expected, yay!!

Hoping to get back to the gym soon, struggling with my fibromyalgia badly at the moment due to the weather. Plus my grandad is currently in hospital, so any spare time is spent between visiting him and studying! I will admit, I’m struggling, I was so hungry when I got home today and the banana didn’t cut it, but I’m waiting until dinner to eat again. I think my body is so used to having far too many calories, it’s in shock 😂

Welcome back Bloop45

I’m not sure if you saw all the helpful advice you were given last time but it might be worth having another look healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

In general, you shouldn’t be hungry . . . You’re perhaps still eating too much sugar which spikes insulin and causes hunger. See here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Have a read and see what you think 😊

If you're doing calorie counting and feeling hungry are you eating enough? Don't go with the general allowance but check your allowance on BMI calculator and eat towards top end. Drinking water is a good idea as your brain can't differentiate between hunger and thirst. I also have a glass of water with every meal and plenty in between.
