It's working!!!

Hi, I actually started this weight loss plan on the 20th May '17 thinking to myself oh well let's try another diet! However, I am pleased to say I have actually lost 5 1/2 lbs in just under three weeks! I only weigh on a Tuesday morning whereas previously I weighed every other day which was disappointing, so looking forward to next Tuesday! My goal is to be able to fit in to a special dress that I bought for my nieces wedding 22nd July! Good luck to everybody else just starting out!

  • That's great, you are doing well. It is good to know that we all can lose weight. I think it helps new people to hear how new people are getting on. Keep going and good luck for Tuesday!

    Welcome to the weight loss forum.

    Lovely photo. Well done in losing 51/2lbs in 3 weeks that is great going.

    Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

    Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.

    Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

    Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

    We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

    To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

  • Thank you Rose. I have already checked my bmi which is way too high, plus I worked out my daily calorie allowance which is 1400 a day which I am pleased to say I am feeling comfortable with. I will have a look at the different columns you suggest. Bye for now.

    The weight is coming of slowly but i keep trying to tell.myself that i can do this.

    It has taken ages to lose my second stone and i have 2 more still to go bit i will get there - eventually.

  • Good luck , I need to lose three stone this year but I lose heart when I get stuck at a certain weight but this is a good and helpful way of keeping in touch with everyone.

  • Thanks! I have my dress hanging on my door so if I ever get tempted to have a biscuit or cake I just look at my dress and say no! It's still hard though! How are you getting on?
