Excellent sugar and it saves so much time in the morning! :)

I love overnight oats, I have it most mornings with a variety of different fruits and spices and yes it's very filling which is great for me as breakfast is at 3.45-4am and lunch is 12.30ish, I very rarely feel hungry before lunch xx

I have never tried them but you have spurred me on to have a go.

I might give that a try too, I'm a real fan of porridge. What weight of oats did you use?

in reply to JiminyCricket

I used 40g and layered it.

I love overnight oats even more than I love porridge. I make so many different flavours. Always delicious.

my 'go to' breakfast now. I do mine with Yeo valley Lemon Curd yoghurt and fruit, tastes so fresh.

Interesting idea Lucigret

I do it with all sorts of yoghurt, but the lemon is my favourite. I don't drink milk and I don't like the idea of fruit juice with oats, so yoghurt it is.

I cant have milk so almond milk was lovely.

I tend to use homemade cashew nut milk which is just delicious. Going to try making my own almond milk this week.

in reply to Ceals

I did actually buy a nut straining bag to do just that,I just haven't got round to doing it yet.

There is generally no need to strain if using cashews as they get pulverised so well in the blender. Which is probably why i have been so lazy about trying almond milk.

in reply to Ceals

Oooo ok cashew nut milk I shall try first then, thanks.

I have been using overnight oats for a while its the bezt breakfast ever 😊 I use 2 recpies:

1. 1/4 cup of old fashioned oats (Scotts porage oats)

1/3 cup of semi skimmed milk

1/4 cup of 0% natural yogurt

1 1/2 teaspoons of Chia seeds

1 tbsp of peanut butter

Give it a really good shake then add 1/2 a banana and pop in the fridge overnight.

2. 1/4 cup of old fashioned oats (Scotts porage oats)

1/3 cup of semi skimmed milk

1/4 cup of 0% natural yogurt

1 1/2 teaspoons of Chai seeds

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Give it a really good shake then add 1/4 cup of apple sauce (I use Batts Bramley Apple Sauce from Lidl) and pop in the fridge overnight.

Great for a breakfast on the go, you can add 1 tsp of honey if its not sweet enough, however that of course will increase the calories. You can also make to or three at once and they will last.

Enjoy 😊

I take in to work every morning. I add a good teaspoon of cinnamon, frozen cherries and 0% fat Greek yoghurt. Yummy and filling.

The overnight oats I made are really lovely. I couldn't eat the whole batch I made so I still have some in the fridge but I really like them
