Hubby update

It's been a while since I posted an update, but my amazing husband (not on the forum) has managed to lose a whopping 3 stone since Christmas! I am so incredibly proud of him:)

He has totally changed his eating habits and has cut out alcohol (becks blue is allowed!). Apart from the past week and a half (flu followed by chest infection) he's been far more active as well.

People who haven't seen him for a while are really starting to notice and comment. We haven't seen his parents since Christmas (his mum is a worrier and always nagging me/him about his weight) - I bet they'll be surprised too!

Keep it up, gang - if he can do it anyone can (carb/snacking addict).

Thank you, Ganny . It has always been a bit of an elephant in the room for us. We discussed it, but he wasn't ready to make changes, so I didn't push it. I love him whatever his size, he is just amazing, but I want him to be healthy so we can spend many more years together :)

Fantastic result well done him and you :)

Wow did he have much to lose to start

His starting weight was 20st 3lbs. He is 6ft 2ins. Yesterday he weighed in at 17st 3lbs.

His initial target is 17st. The aim was to be able to do the "aerial adventure" activity when we go to Centre Parcs next year (he has missed out on the last couple of times we've been there as they have a weight limit of 18st).

Once he hits 17st, he is planning to set a new target of 16st.

I'm so proud of him as he's struggled with his weight for many years. We met at school (25 years ago) and he started gaining weight when he went to university. We have been together for 9 years and he's been very overweight that entire time, which has worried me from a health perspective. I wasn't sure how he was getting through so many calories before, but I am now buying far less cheese for one thing! He was also eating in secret.

He's now talking about rejoining the gym, which I think he will enjoy. We are also doing the Cancer Research Uk Shine Walk (overnight marathon) in September, so training required!

thanks everyone for your positive comments :)

Fabulous say congrats from me nice positive post :)
