Day 1

Well here I am on day 1. It's Ash weds , first day of lent so am giving up up butter for the duration ending on 13th April Easter Sunday (also my amazing mums 87th birthday).

Am looking to lose a stone in that time, weigh in this morning 10 stone 6 lbs, maybe doesn't sound much but I am 5 ft petite build , dress size 16 right now, should be in the 8 - 9 stone range.

Am going to make a menu of my next day's food each evening so I know exactly what I have visually.

For every pound I lose up to Easter Sunday I pledge to donate £5 to the BHF

So here goes, wish me (and the BHF) luck!

  • Hello Rosie, wishing you all the best. It sounds like you've got a plan which is always a good starting point.

  • Sounds like a good plan rosielamb. You might never go back to butter, but please remember that it is better for you than margarine or any of the soft spreads-everything in moderation. Planning is definitely what saves me from myself!

  • Absolutely agree, only have organic butter, am very fussy about what I put into my body, it's the quantity that's the problem...
