So..I've gained a bit of weight, we'll it's a lot for myself. Cut a long story short..3 children and quit smoking, and now I'm 20kg heavier I was to 5 years ago. My struggles to losing weight is that I like sweet food. I can be so good for a few days keeping away from sweet food, then I binge. I find it hard to be active, well I should say find time to be active. Any tips will be appreciated.

20kg HELP
Hi and welcome 20kg
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news
Have a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
We run daily weigh-in's and you would be very welcome to join today's, or any other, bar Monday and Tuesday, which are unfortunately full. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.
We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too
It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Welcome to the forum. I am so impressed that you quit smoking. The willpower that you had then and still have is what you need to refocus. You have shown what strength you have and you can do it again to lose weight. Xx
There are some useful ideas on the forum about food swaps. By doing this you can still eat well but reduce the amount of processed sugar you are eating. Good luck. Xx
Hi I gave up smoking in 1995 never smoked again so any gain is better than smoking super well done
You can lose weight but you can't lose damaged black lungs
Look into sweet treats you can have in your weightloss plan
Sugar free jelly meringues sugar free low fat sweets fruit salads lf yoghurts jam also save calories fur a proper treat once a day I find feeling deprived makes a person fall off weightloss plan that's why I have crisps
That's why calorie counting a great you don't need to give up food groups you learn what to eat to fill you up and also incorporate treats
Congratulations on quitting smoking. That is one of the hardest thing you will ever do and having done that you can do anything. Good luck.
