Thanks for letting me join this forum. I’m 18 stone and feeling it although I’m very active I find it harder to do stuff being so big and my poor leg joint suffers if I try to do too much so I’ve got to loose weight. I work in care so do a lot in work running round the care home fetching food cooking. So easy to put on weight as those I work with don’t appreciate healthy eating always! Hope to gain support for a healthier future.

Would love to walk more challenging routes and hope to loose weight to do this because at 18 stone and working in a care home I’m surrounded by unhealthy food and am struggling to loose weight. Looking forward to the challenge.

Well done Nancy ... 2 stone is a really good chunk of weight I bet you feel like a new woman.

That’s so encouraging to hear of people’s weight loss stories. it’s so easy to put the weight on over the years , I’m 64 , and then realise I’ve been carrying five stone around with me all this time. If I don’t do something about it now, I might be fit but the extra is going to take its toll on me I know it that’s why I’ve joined the group.

It's really hard work carrying that extra weight. I already feel lighter on my feet for losing the first 2 stone. I want to lose another 4 stone and then I might just stop :)

Yes me likewise! Ok Dillwin lets go for it in 2018, I need to walk more as well. Used to walk a lot ,but after a bad fall my mobility is more limited .

Working with food must be very difficult, but with careful planning and calorie counting you can probably still incorporate a "meal on duty" into your daily allowance.

Yes it’s just the discipline of calorie counting I just got to get into it and work towards getting fitter. I’m 64 and fitter than most I work with so I feel I’m doing ok on that front. It’s the food control I need to work on to achieve my goal. I want to loose four stone at least.
