Will I make my target?

Got weighed last on 6th Jan - 84.4 kilos.

I'm not going to get weighed again until my birthday on 26th Jan when I really really really want to be 80 kilos or less.

Will I do it?

Hi Applebelly Good luck with your target of 80 kilos. Just keep track of everything your eating and your portion sizes as they can creep up.

Hi arty65. No, I didn't make my target, far too ambitious. If I stick to it, I can lose no more than 2 kg per month. I am now 82.9 so aiming for 80 by end of the month. Was 82.2 before my neighbour's birthday party - cake!!!. To be honest, I've also let the exercises slip and I've found that no matter how hard you diet, it doesn't work without exercise. I just keep trying to focus on having a flat, toned stomach instead of the flab to get me back on track.

Hi Applebelly You and me too that's what I'm aiming for wether it its achieveable we shall see I like cake too. started yesterday it was a struggle it was so cold, but I did manage to get round the block and my intention is to do that every other day walk on sunday. replaced the biscuit barrel with energy bites, weigh in Saturday target 82ish. Tried risotto from the hints and tips which was quite nice did not get the portions quite right though, keep working on it.

arty 65 do keep up with the walking. That's my main exercise and it really does make you feel better. I have two dogs, so they insist on at least one daily walk no matter what the weather. Try the trick of getting off the bus a stop earlier, it all adds up the calories burnt total. Let me know your Saturday weight.

Applebelly I also walk too dogs daily plus I have introduced a bit of aerobic plan doing alternate days started Monday crippling freezing, today wet, nearly managed to get back without walking. hope to keep it up, will let you know the result Saturday

Well Arty 65, hope you were on target this cold snowy morning. Dogs won't get much of a walk today. It's going to be a tough day to stick to the diet, think I will continue stripping paint off the bannisters , need a strategy to keep my bum off the sofa and the fridge door closed.

I was 82.00k this morning, what did you weigh?

Afraid the news is all bad I weighed in this morning at 84 kgs that's with no crisp snacks, chocolate and keeping to what I think is a reasonable diet. I suppose its not going to happen overnight it took a while to put on and a bit of fun so I am fairly positive. I am pleased doing the jog walk exercise so I will try to keep that going,its funny when I had coffee in the week I had a cake and for some reason I looked at the calorie count it was 360 I thought 5 of these and that's me for the day. Perhaps have a better week next week it may warm up a bit thanks for the support and good luck with the bannister I,m looking at 83kg next week

Bitterly cold north easterlies and snow don't help. I have had a difficult day, only a very short dog walk and the diet fell apart this afternoon. Tomorrow is a new day, so let's get back on track.
