OMG I donned lycra!!

Haven't posted for a while - been a few trying months. Went in for a fairly small op, but had complications and ended up in an emergency ward for 5 days. Six weeks recovery then had a fall (yep, alcohol was involved) and ended up having another six weeks to recover. But, I've managed to keep to a fairly steady weight, and had good news at a recent medical, I thought I'd lost 10 kilos, but turned out I'd lost 12! Hoorah!! Would like to lose another 4-5 kilos but doesn't seem to be happening, so this week I've put the running shoes back on and started the C25K plan again and it feels surprising good. The biggest milestone is having the courage to put on the lycra which I'd treated myself to as a reward for completing the C25K before my op. Although feeling pretty self conscious, nobody stopped in the street and howled with laughter at me. I know I'll never have a perfect body but just to have the confidence to accept me for being me is a huge accomplishment :D
