I too have a wedding to get trim for - son getting married to a lovely welsh girl next year. I have yet to meet her family so first impressions will matter. We have to envisage how we want to look on the day and make sure that happens!
Don't be daunted by the task - plan one day at a time. Clear out your kitchen of unwanted temptations. Buy plenty of low-fat and low-sugar foods, fresh fruit and vegetables. Get an online calorie counter like Myfitnesspal or Nutracheck and log everything you eat or drink - the computer makes it so easy these days!
Plan some days out - walking with friends who have dogs (unless you have your own), visit National Trust properties and walk around the gardens ...then as you get fitter, take in some hills, and your overall health and mood will improve. You might even join the Ramblers - lovely to walk and chat at the same time!
Why not take a "before" picture ....and then we look forward to seeing the "after" picture in several months time! Best of luck!
