I have been really concerned by the rapid increase in weight over the past 3 years. I had a benign form of arythmia which caused me to feel out of breath, tired and just generally unwell, getting increasingly worse until my operation 2 months ago!
I am physically not coping and feel like I an carrying a 20 kg sac of potatoes around all the time. Yesterday I saw a picture of me my hub and took and it just confirmed all my fears: I am obese!
I need to do something about this. I eat healthy food and cookall my meals with fresh ingredients. l also know that I hardly drink any water at all and my exercise levels are shockingly low. I feel depressed about the way I look and feel and I desperately want to loose all this excess weight!
I need a kick start and see results to be motivated. Because whenever I stick to a strict diet for 2 weeks my weight increases ! Is it normal? I want to feel normal again.

I'd recommend having a look at the NHS 12 week plan, and see if it's something you might like to try. Many of us follow the principles of that plan, and have had great success with it.
There's a Monday group weigh-in as well, so do look out for that if you'd like to join us, you'd be really welcome.
We have lots of Pinned posts that are worth reading too - and a collection of recipes (also in the Pinned Posts area - just click on 'view 6 more' to access that thread). The Pinned Posts are in the top right-hand-side of the homepage.
Anyway, I hope you feel better in yourself as time progresses. It can be shocking sometimes to spot a particular photo, so don't let that put you off too much - it's great that you've joined this community, and I really hope you'll enjoy being part of it, and that you have success with your goals.
Wishing you all the best, and hope to see you around and about in the forum.
Maybe don't start with the food side of things, but the moving. A bit of exercise uses up calories but it is fantastically good for your mental health too. Start as small as you need but promise yourself you'll do a bit more each time. Park your car further away from where you are going, so you walk more each time, for instance. It's not going to be easy, but it can be done, as lots of people here will show you. When you start to feel better about moving then start looking at your food choices. Good luck.
I feel your frustration!! I am hopeless at 'strict dieting' 😕 For me I have to consciously NOT 'diet' but follow a generous but healthy eating plan, within a calorie limit.
Although I always ate healthy foods, I was still too heavy because I ate too much, so I watch portions very closely 😊
So you are already on the right path but perhaps need to tweak your portions?
With regards to exercise I would start gently, short regular intervals would perhaps be a good idea. My phone has a step counter which is quite motivating 😊 But any kind of movement is beneficial 😊
