Hi Dish70,

Sorry to hear you've not had such a good day today.  Sounds like you're doing a lot - working late, and pushing yourself at the gym, and you mentioned that you've not had the healthiest tea.  I really hope you get some time this evening to de-stress and relax a bit, and I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to give you a link to the Healthy Eating page from NHS Choices, as it has some advice regarding enabling you to have sufficient balanced nutrients to fuel your day - I would recommend just having a read through to see if you can adapt your eating plan to ensure you feed your body with some healthy nutrients.   I don't mean to judge you in doing this, I'm just concerned that you are struggling a bit - and hope the information might be helpful to you:

Having regular healthy meals, and keeping within your calorie allowance (on the basis of the NHS BMI calculator recommended range) is helpful - are you following the NHS 12 week plan?

Soups can vary in their nutritional content, and can be full of sugars - so do check the labels if it's a tinned soup, and the ice-cream could also be quite sugary.  The crisps will be full of salt, and not very sustaining in energy.

Alternatively a soup made from whole foods (maybe vegetables and fortified with pulses and lentils) alongside a slice of wholemeal bread is a more healthy and sustaining option.  Have you seen our collated recipe thread for some meal ideas and recipes?  It's in the Pinned Posts area (top right-hand-side of the homepage) - just click on the bit that says 'view 6 more' and you can see it.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow, and do have a rest tonight if you can and sleep well.  Sleep is important too.

Lowcal :-)
