Good news my husband is going to spend tomorrow for pre op tests and has his op next Tuesday. Tomorrow is my birthday but I already knew that was not going to be great. It is going to be spent sitting in a clinic but at least he is getting his op.
I am going to try to get back on track on Thursday.

That is great news, Aqua, I hope you do enjoy a bit of birthday time tomorrow (happy birthday from me), but I suspect you will be anxious until after Tuesday.
Yes I will be anxious until it is all over. But he is too il to walk a few yards so no presents no lunch etc. He will be back out by next Friday but need looking after. It is great news he is in a very bad way

We can of course. I spent yesterday on the phone to the hospital telling them that he is getting worse and to day he gets his op.

Heartfelt good wishes to you and your husband in your very worrying time. Hope the op goes well. You can have an 'official' birthday to celebrate when he comes home. Take care of yourself too and let the idea of 'getting back on track' fade away fir now. A little tip is to carry a little healthy snack at all times - hospital coffee shops are a minefield of unhealthy food, a trap for the unwary. Hugs.
