I love your new name - very effervescent and full of life - really positive name, very apt. I also love the photo of Angor Wat - beautiful. I am looking forward to our visit there. I must ensure I have some kms to report back by the end of the day - so I'll be off to walk some steps as and when I get opportunity today!
Will be back later to report back my results.
Lowcal
Today is going to be a big fat zero km unless I get out and brave that howling gale - perhaps I should pin a photo of Ricky onto the dog's bum...
I was fine til I got to the top of the hill and nearly got blown right of my feet! A woman with a double buggy turned out of a farm track ahead of me and got blown right across the road! We had to get her back to the track, post haste!
I love that picture Lizzy! I also lost my internet connection yesterday before getting a chance to comment on our stats. I get more gobsmacked each week. It seemed like such a tall order to be able to clock up 501K's every day, but we're absolutely blowing that total out of the water! It's a staggering achievement by ordinary people doing extraordinary things. I'm so proud to be part of this team of intrepid travellers. WTG everyone, you rock!!
My totals today are
Walking - 6.2
Cycling - 10.8
Total - 17K's
I haven't had a go on my rower, because my shoulder hurts and I don't want to mess things up for later
Ok - I get you My brain can't cope with cross referencing different threads. And I obviously missed your whole celebration with Elissy about me being blown away (Getting the hang of these now !!)
2.8 for me today. Just ordered a fitbit as I think that my ancient (almost as old as those temples!) pedometer isn't counting everything. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...
I think that would be the perfect exercise machine, at least I'd be able to fetch my messages and have somewhere to put the dog on the road and I wouldn't have to have my pockets bulging with emergency items
I hope you don't mind but I took a virtual detour today and ended up walking across the Sea Cliff Bridge NSW Australia. It was rather pleasant and took about 25 minutes
Unfortunately it was hissing down again here in rainy Devon so I decided to do a virtual walk. Tried walking on the spot but it is quite tiring so ended up wandering around the house like a mad woman! Hubby wandered off bored after about 3 minutes.
By my calculations I did about 2km but no idea really
Still a great number JC, maybe you should mention to your manager that in the interest of preventing repetitive strain injury, all employees should walk for 1K every hour
I don't work any more, but when I did, I was on my feet for a minimum of 9 hrs a day. I was always super efficient, or I'd have been there a lot longer!
Hi all. Tuesday kms - me 7.1kms pottering and dragging my rain fearing dog out in the storm!!! Jog-on - 27.2kms - 7km steps at work, 6.5 cross trainer, 4.2 treadmill, 4.5 rowing and 5 walking the rain loving dogs
Hope the storm doesn't affect our journey - I get really travel sick (might help lose a few lbs tho...)
Sure is. 24 hours continuous walking around the Isle of Wight. I did a 100 km in April last year, but it took me 31 hours. I'm 2 1/2 stone lighter this time (so far) and have done so much more training.
Not at all! I think any amount is a feat. It's too easy to be lazy. I should know, I was the ultimate lazy boy not so long ago. I wasn't active and ate mainly junk and takeaways. 16k to me back then would have sounded a world away.
