New Year New Start New Me
Hi Cherylsavage,
Welcome to the forum, and hope you will enjoy being part of it. It's great that you're starting out the New Year with a fresh start regarding food and exercise. Also, great to hear your son is getting married in May - as you have plenty of time to make some progress with whatever goals you set yourself.
I would recommend the NHS 12 week plan, which you can access here:
nhs.uk/Livewell/weight-loss...
There are 12 weeks of downloadable pages there, with great advice and structure. I would recommend using an app like Myfitnesspal to help you log your calories and exercise easily - if you do decide to adopt that approach.
Also, we have a Monday weigh-in group, which I post just before 7am every Monday, so if you like the idea of a group weigh-in, I hope you'll join us.
There are other 'challenges' on the site, including an 'Around the World in 80 Days' challenge - posted by a member called Lizzy (with lots of numbers after her name) - and you'd be welcome to join in with that - or any of the challenges you spot on the forum. Basically means sharing the kms we manage to do over the week - via walking, running, rowing machine, bike riding etc etc, to enable the participants to go 'around the world in 80 days' - great adventure and motivating for exercise.
Anyway, whatever you decide to do, I wish you success with your goals in 2016.
Happy New Year!!!

Keep thinking of the photos!
The photos will be taken and you will not get to choose which are deleted!! Those photos will be shared with hundreds and each person pointed out and discussed.
Slim and confident not only will you not mind which photos are shared with the masses... you won't mind if you wear nothing but that fabulous hat!
Keep thinking photos!
Good luck, I am sure you will do it!
weddings are a good incentive I managed 12st for each wedding but then crept up again this time no wedding but I want to be the weight I was when I was 40 don't know what that is supposed to change but I feel I will feel younger, even if I am not, pilates will be needed at the least, but I will worry about all those comments where people say you will look scraggy when I get there, will be going to one of those spa places to improve the look!!
