I need a diet buddy anyone?

Hi I am starting the NHS 12 week diet and need a diet buddy I have 3.5 stone to loose, I could use a diet buddy I have been eating healthy for a long time but things creep in that shouldn't be there so I need to monitor what I am putting in my trap there is no excuse I am the only one doing it... so heres to the next 12 weeks!

Hey! Yeah I'm here. I'll be doing this for awhile as I have 5 stone to lose. Have my appointment with Nurse about weight on Tuesday :) xox buddy? :)

Hi Pollyf6969! I will be your diet buddy.. I need to lose about the same amount. I printed the 12 week plan off about 2 months ago and really have not kept up my motivation so far. I eat fairly healthily through the week but let myself down at the weekends munching! My husband has his birthday this weekend and I am making a cake (silly me!) so I will start from scratch on Monday with my weigh in. My main problem is portion size and alcohol on a weekend (half a bottle of wine and 1-2 ciders). I am aiming to go alcohol free for the month of June and hopefully beyond! I am also hoping to buy a bike so I can tone up whilst losing weight. I was trying to do the couch to 5k but am too self conscious at present but hopefully this will change as I progress.

Hi! I have at least 3 stone to lose so happy to buddy up with anyone. My husband is slim and can't understand why I don't just eat less/the right things. He doesn't understand that I eat for just about every other reason - boredom, anger, because I can!

Hi chocsoup! I'll buddy with you too if you like... Yes, it's annoying when your husband is slim and always has determination if weight loss is needed. He has despaired of me and all the diets I've been on with varying success! He's just glad this one costs nothing!!!

Hi Polly! You're in the right place, with a wealth of support and buddies! I have a similar amount to loose to you and have been concentrating on the plan for the last two weeks. I found putting my weight on a post and updating it with a loss each week really beneficial. Because then it's written down for all to see and I can't hide from it! It's great reading everybodys posts too - you'll soon realise we all have similar struggles and its great motivation - if we can do it, you can too! Look forward to reading your posts, good luck!

thanks everyone better get myself to boots to weigh in properly don't own any scales probably best lol. starting tomorrow. my problem is evenings if I get bored weekends I am fine as I teach so don't get chance to snack. I am on holiday on the 9th July so I need to loose about 10 lbs by then so here goes.....

hi pollyf6969, what is it that you expect from a diet buddy? How do you feel a diet buddy will hep with your weight loss? these are genuine questions I'm not being funny i really would like to know as it may be something I could use to help with my weight loss I have about 5st to lose and feel like this is impossible, I'd like to join you with this 12 week program, I'm going on holiday in September so this could be good time to work towards, thanks

I would also like to join in this group as I too have similar amount to lose and keep falling off my healthy eating plans that I start. I have tried almost everything and I hope to be motivated and also do likewise with others.Thank you for the open invite for a buddy. Terri

Hi today is my first day of the challenge so I would like to join the Buddy Group as well. I have 1.5 Stone to lose but struggle with motivation after 2-3 weeks

I also have just over 5 stone to lose. Struggling this week though - just not focused enough. Need to go right back to basics and plan all my meals and shop for them tomorrow. Here's to our success 😊
