Soup Makers/Recipes

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any good law cal/fat soup recipes. I bought a soup maker a while back and whilst I love the concept the soups have been a little bland. I tried Jamie Oliver's carrot and coriander soup today which was great although needed a little less water. It is only 102 cals a serving and there was more than enough for 4 of us. Thinking of maybe have a low cal soup as a starter and a way of cutting down portion sizes on main meals. Any recipes, hints & tips gratefully received. Thanks in advance:)

I love soup, made up some batches today, I freeze some in tubs then just microwave for a quick dinner or lunch. I tend to get 3 portions out of each recipe for a main meal. Calories will vary slightly as depends on weight etc as you know.

Broccoli soup 153kcals (I add half a potato to thicken it) bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/broc...

Spinach soup 184kcal (I use natural yoghurt instead of creme fraiche to reduce calories more)bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/215...

Cauliflower and Leek 127kcal (I didn't add cheese and just used veg stock instead of milk as dont like it too creamy, also added half a potato) en.russellhobbs.com/recipes...

Sweet potato and carrot 205kcal (I used 2 lots of stock instead of the milk)bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/118...

Hope you find these useful, BBC good food has loads and there are some sites that give specific recipes for soup makers such as scottishmum.com/soup-maker-...

Enjoy 🌸

Leek and potato soup and butternut squash soup are my favourites. I prefer salads at this time of year though!

Chuck a few chilli flakes in and you'll get enhanced flavour. I make it with just whatever veg I have in. Mushrooms are great for chewy bulk!

Zucchini and tomato soup:

dice 2 large zucchinis, dice 1 onion, chicken stock ( powder, maybe the value of 2 or 3 cubes?), 1 can of peeled diced tomatoes, 1 cup of water.

Chuck it all in the pressure cooker. 5 minutes when the "thingy" is on high.

When finished allow to cool for a couple of minutes and using the blender stick, blend it all.

Add some black pepper and serve with some parsley.

Depending on your appetite, may make 4 to 5 serves.

Love it, love anything that is easy to make.

Hi, I am a bit of a fussy eater - what does zucchini taste like?

Hard to say sueper, just like zucchinis really. Zucchinis have always been part of my diet so I can't describe the taste except saying zucchini taste! In my country of birth, they are small. In my home country, they are big. For the zucchini and tomato soup, it is approximately 1kg of zucchinis. Zucchinies are a long green vegetable. They are cheap to buy and very healthy to eat.
