I used to tell myself I "needed" chocolate etc. A little voice in my head used to say "I don't care".
Now when I'm tempted to a treat I ask myself "Is it worth it?". Works for me and just wanted to share.

Thank you for sharing, always helpful to read about others tricks and mantras that help them get through the day
EXACTLY!!! well done you! any tips or things that work for you? I find this helps me and inspiration keeps the boredom away....thanks, Teresa
Know what you mean about boredom as it just makes you want to do something so you end up stuffing your face. I wanted to munch this morning so checked the posts on the forum. That works for me as I don't want to let myself or others down. We are all working together at it and I don't want to be "the one who sits at the back of the class".
Another thing is look in the mirror and suck your tummy in and just think how you will feel when it's reality. Blob out which should scare you off giving in.
Things I do that distract me are .... in no particular order.
1. Put on music and do some housework.
2. Go for a brisk walk.
3. Do some gardening.
4. Check the forum.
5. Phone my mum or a friend.
6. Sort out my wardrobes etc.
7. Move ornaments, pictures or furniture around for a change.
8. Go up in the loft and sort stuff out (loads of it).
9. Have a bath or a shower.
10. File my toenails. No eating allowed then!
Can you think of anymore? That will give you something to do. Ha Ha.
Just thought of any other one try on your clothes that you've put away that you couldn't fit in and try them on. Think someday I'll get in those.
