Last Monday I weighed 13 stone 6.8 pounds, and today I weigh 13 stone 4.8 pounds, so I've lost 2 pounds this week. To finally achieve a weight loss goal feels really good, and thanks to everyone who encouraged me over the previous weeks when I was struggling to lose anything.
I've eaten sensibly, and exercised every day - doing walking and also some core strength exercises. I took my measurements on Tuesday last week, and they were chest: 40 inches; waist: 32.5 inches, and hips: 40.5 inches. I had reduced my hip measurement by half an inch since a month ago, but no change on the other measurements. I'm 6 feet 1 inch tall.
My weight loss journey has been long, and at my heaviest (about 7 years ago) I weighed 18 stone 8 pounds, so I've lost over 5 stones to date. I was a size 18 at that time, and now I take size 16 (and also some size 14's occasionally too!) I'd like to weigh 12 stone 7 pounds, so I have 11.8 pounds left to lose.
My goal is to lose some weight this week - I don't mind how much, as long as it is a loss! I'm finding getting rid of this final stone is tough, but I'm hoping that adding in the core strength exercises will help me to tone up and shift the weight alongside the walking and healthy eating.
I feel like I can maintain my new habits for life now, and that feels good - but at the same time, I realise how easy weight can come back on, and I need to maintain the loss. Having the encouragement from people on this forum is invaluable to me - so thank you to everyone who contributes - your positive comments and support is amazing.
Please join me and share your own experiences, and good luck for a successful week ahead.
Also, I'd like to wish Folliegirl a Happy Birthday for today!

Hi lowcal, im so pleasedyou body decided to cooperate with you this week! It sounds like you have been working hard and definitely deserved it!
I am also down 2lbs this week which I'm pleased with as that was my goal and it been trying to exercise every day as the weather is better. I also took my waist measurement today and I'm down an inch from last month.
Overall, im feeling very positive and hoping to lose another 2lbs next week. Good luck with getting your last stone off, im sure you will do it, even if it takes a little time.
Congratulations to you on losing 2 pounds this week. That's great! Also good to hear you've lost an inch from your waist. Well done for keeping up your exercise as well.
Thanks so much for your encouragement, and let's hope we have another good week ahead.
I hope the weather is good this week. Enjoy your week.
Hi Lowcal, WELL DONE back on the losing streak! I think you're right about core exercises, hubby and I were talking about them yesterday and I was going to look for a workout on the web - do you have one you'd recommend?
My period finally arrived 5 days late, bringing pain and misery (for all around me ) but as yet no noticeable weight loss so I will stop looking for excuses and accept that I am doing something wrong
Sorry to hear you've had pain and misery with your period (those around you will be relieved it's over now! ) Hopefully you'll get a weight loss next week. Just keep going!
I do a work-out by Bob Harper (of Biggest Loser fame) which focuses on core strength, and lasts 25 minutes. I'm not sure what he calls it - but I found it on one of the Sky TV channels and recorded it. I've definitely noticed a difference in my body shape already, and I feel fitter for doing it. It involves a lot of standing on one leg and using hand-held weights. Quite a few squats too. Stuff like that that involves compound movements involving body weight. It's tough but effective. Hope you find something good - let me know if you find any good exercises.
Morning- I fell off the wagon- so I gained a pound:-). but i am full of spirited motivation - - have re booted and started running again- entered half marathon and a 10k for alter in year.
Great news for you - that must feel good - and gives me some hope I will start to spiral down again.....
I am glad to hear that you are full of spirited motivation, despite that 1 pound gain this week and falling off the wagon slightly - the fact you've re-booted after that, and started running again is brilliant. Well done you! You've got some great things to work towards in terms of training for your half-marathon and the 10k run as well. Wow, that's a long way!!!
Keep going, and you'll lose that pound again and you'll be on your way towards another loss really soon.
Have a great week, and thanks for your encouragement, and positivity!
well done!!! you have done so well and should be really proud of yourself. i have had an unsurprisingly disappointing week and gained 2 pounds, am now 13st 9. i look back at my week, away for part of it, out a lot with family and friends and although i have done lots of exercise and eaten healthily most of the time have had many days when i conveniently forgot. so pleased though to have joined this group because without it i think i may not have weighed myself this morning and hid my head in the sand. good luck for this week. sidcup 1 x
I'm sorry to hear you've had a disappointing week, and gained some weight. It sounds like you've had quite a social week, visiting your friends and family, which can be very challenging for weight loss, as so many temptations abound at such times. Well done for doing lots of exercise and also eating healthily most of the time, I'm sure that will stand you in good stead for a loss very soon, just keep going and focused.
I know how tough it is to weigh yourself on days when you've gained, it's very tough to then share that in a site such as this, but I've never regretted doing so on the many occasions when I've had to do that, because the support and encouragement that comes back is invaluable.
Well done lowcal, I know how much you wanted to lose those 2 pounds!
I've managed to stay the same this week which is sort of ok, but means I am still 2 pounds over my target weight. I have been over my allowance a few times this week which explains this I think. I need to concentrate more this week, but have the perfect motivation as I was taken shopping to Milton Keynes yesterday for mothers day and got a top from fat face in the sale and have ordered a dress I saw in white stuff, so can't put on any weight now!
Good luck to everyone this week, hope you all manage to achieve your targets x
Well done for maintaining your weight this week, despite going over your allowance a couple of times. Lovely that you have some new clothes to enjoy, as those will definitely be motivating to preserve your current size. I hope you enjoy wearing them.
Brilliant Lowcal, glad you've had such a positive week 👏👏👏well done on your loss 👍🎉
Thank you for my birthday wishes ... I'm looking forward to today 😁
Last week I weighed 12stone0lb today I weigh 11st12lb - so 2lb lost this week ... I'm into the 11's 😊😊
I managed to side step a tricky food day on Saturday without upsetting DH and then negotiate Mother's day lunch (including pudding!!) ... Birthday treats today, but I am in control of what I eat, I can do this ... Thanks for all your support 🌻🌼🌺
Firstly, Happy Birthday!!!!! It's so great that you've lost 2 pounds this week, and Congratulations for doing that. You're doing really well - making great progress, and your enthusiasm, support, and bright colourful emoticons are amazing! It must feel really good to be in the 11's. Really well done.
Well done for sidestepping Saturday's tricky food day, and negotiating a Mother's Day lunch - I hope you enjoy your Birthday treats today - like you say, you're in control of what you eat, and you can do this.
Wishing you a great Birthday and a great week ahead.
Lowcal! I'm so pleased for you to have finally go rid of those annoying 2lbs. You must be feeling great this morning! Back on track, well done!
I am also feeling pleased with myself this morning! I was a little nervous for the weigh in as I felt surely I could not have another week with a loss! That would be 4 weeks in a row! Plus I went out for a meal Saturday with friends! It was quite a healthy meal with a nice big salad on the side.
I am now down to 12st 7lbs after a loss of 1lb. I was hoping for another 2lb loss, but seen as I didn't really have any time to exercise this week I'm not going to complain!
My goal of getting to 12st by July for my birthday is looking pretty good, I think I'm going to need to alter my goal!
My goal this week is to up my exercise as I only managed one day last week. I don't want to level out and maintain my weight every week. I don't want to get back into that!
Brilliant news to hear you've lost another pound, and you've had 4 week's of losses - really good! Congratulations!
Thanks very much for your encouraging words to me too - you definitely helped me to keep on track over the past few weeks, and it's so nice to finally have a loss myself.
You're well on track to your Birthday goal. Good luck with your week's goal to do more exercise.
Hi Sophie well done on the weight loss. I too lost 1lb this week. So I too have about 7lb to lose by my birthday in July. I am finding the whole dieting and exercise hard going. It is an encouragement to me to be sharing a goal with someone else. We can do this. Have a good do week.
Thank you Pog1! I was keeping my eye out for your progress but forgot to check back to this page yesterday afternoon!
Well done on the pound loss too! That's great news! The support here is great! But having someone with the same short term goal as me is really helping! I'm glad you find it helpful too!
I worked out its 14 weeks until July so as long as we lose at least 0.5lbs a week we will hit our goal!
We will get there! I look forward to reading your post next week! Have awesome week!
great wortk, Lowcal - 2 lbs and a whole inch off your waist! I've been hovering around the 11st 4/5lbs all week, weighed in at 11st 5 lbs today, but I know that next elusive lb is close!
Hi, well done I am so pleased for you, and great you feel you have got back into the swing of it, you deserve it after looseing so much weight.
I have had another good week lost1lb, on target for my 1.5 lbs per week I set myself at the beginning. Have now lost 15lb's. Now 13 stone, hopeing to be in the 12's next week.
We go on holiday end of April and would like to be down to 12.5 by then.
Hope everyone has had a good week and GOOD LUCK for next week.
Congratulations on losing a pound this week - it's great that you're on target, and you've lost over a stone now - really well done! Really exciting to hear you're on the cusp of going into the 12's.
Well done Lowcal! Just a solitary lb for me but have crossed a Stone barrier to 11st13lb. It feels that I still have a long way to go as it was hard earned - I ran 28k in total in the week and did pilates & other toning work (and no - I dont buy the whole, muscle weighs more than fat - that only counts if you're the Incredible Hulk!).
Anyway 1lb lost a week is better than 1lb gained. I promise I will never weigh 12 anything again!
You're at the place I'm aiming to be next - breaking that 12 stone barrier, and i'm also mostly doing it by exercise rather than anything else. Well done for getting to the 11s, hope to join you soon
Aw thanks @ruth_canal_runner! The thing is, I broke the 11 stone barrier in the other direction just before Christmas having been bobbing just under it for a long time. Not too sure what happened - too much unhealthy stuff! just figured it would all disappear in the first couple of months of the year but sadly that didn't happen 😞.
I see you're running too. Good luck with that. You checked out parkrun.org yet?
When I get to the end of week 9 I will def find a local parkrun. I don't know quite how my weight got so out of control either, and why it's so difficult to get back to where I was. I used to be slightly overweight at 10st7-11st-ish all my adult life until about 2 years ago, then shot up to here. All I know is I've really got to get back to where I was in a way that keeps me there permanently, and exercise seems to be a good way to do that.
Congratulations on losing 1 pound this week - and also to breaking through that stone barrier into the 11's. That's really exciting!!! Wow, amazing that you ran 28k in total during the week - that's phenomenal distance. Great that you're doing lots of toning work as well alongside the Pilates.
Imagine that your 'solitary' pound is a pound of butter or lard on a plate, and it will help you celebrate it more - to lose a pound is absolutely brilliant in my book. Definitely cause for celebration.
Thanks for your encouraging words to me, and I wish you another great week ahead.
Good morning Lowcal. Very well done on that 2lb loss. It's difficult when you've struggled but the support and encouragement here keeps you on track and you have done so amazingly well. Fantastic work!
I had a blip day on Thursday (Mum's funeral) when we had a buffet breakfast after the crematorium and then family came back to me for lunch as I had laid on a huge buffet for us all (with too many leftovers!). I tried not to be too indulgent. Then yesterday (Mothers Day) I had chocolates but rationed myself.
Anyway, those were my sins but I lost 4.6lbs which makes me feel that perhaps I wasn't as wicked as I thought during the week. I am now 14st exactly, so by next week my aim is 13st 11.5 lbs which is the half stone and four and a half stone loss in total.
I would challenge any thoughts whatsoever that you could ever be wicked, and you've had such a lot of things on your plate (emotionally speaking) over the past few months. It must have been such a challenging week to cope with your Mum's funeral, and also Mother's Day within the same week - I'd like to send you a virtual hug. I hope you are doing ok - and that you've got some good support from family and friends.
Congratulations on losing 4.6 pounds, that is incredible, and you're 14 stone exactly now - so very close to dipping into the 13's. You've lost an incredible amount of weight - you'll soon be at 4 and a half stone loss. Really great progress.
Be kind to yourself and have a good week. Many thanks for your supportive words and encouragement, which are much appreciated!
Thank you so very much Lowcal and virtual hug received. I don't know anyone here in Lincoln yet so winging this alone .......except for my husband of course! Will try and find ways to get to meet people as my nearest friend is in Lancashire! It would be really nice to meet up with a friend now and again for coffee come to mention it! X
Sounds like a good idea, Candystripe. It will take time to get to know people in your new area, but hopefully you'll get some new friends locally to your new home as time goes on, in addition to your existing ones of course.
Hi Lowcal.
Very encouraging to hear you finally lost those 2lbs. The tone of your post is so positive - I can tell you're very pleased, really good to see that...
However, for another week I've stayed the same at 12st2. I'm frustrated because I'm definitely upping the exercise a lot, running for 25mins now for the c25k and cycling into town 1-2 times a week (approx 15-20mile round trip). I'm not following any particular diet, except the common sense one (more fruit and salad, less other stuff). I'm basically doing everything I can without actually having to 'diet', and maybe I shouldn't resist anymore, as I just need to get this weight off somehow. I need to look into making some kind of food plan I think, or employing the services of the myfitnesspal app...
Yes, I can't contain my excitement at having finally lost 2 pounds. Thanks so much for your support and encouragement.
Well done to you for upping your exercise and doing all that running and cycling - I hope you're enjoying it. I'd also like to say well done for maintaining your weight - I know you're feeling frustrated that you'd like to lose weight. I do think Myfitnesspal could help - you could see how many total calories you've been having versus your net calories, and that might indicate whether or not you need to cut down the calories or not. Like you, I try to focus more on healthy eating, and balancing my meals so that I have protein and complex carbohydrates (whole grains etc) and good fats (monounsaturated fats like olive oil) within each meal, and that I eat more fruit and vegetables and particularly like to eat high fibre non-processed foods wherever possible. I also try to eat low glycaemic index foods and cut my sugar and salt intake. I do enjoy a good pizza once a week though, and have a few treats on the weekends.
Just keep positive and keep going, and you'll get there. Wishing you a really good week ahead.
Thank you that's a good positive spin - that I maintained my weight - I'm certainly glad not to have put on. Also, you are giving me a really good example to follow, I need reminding that a lot of this is about long-term commitment and patience. Thanks also for reminding me about all the different healthy things I need to include in my diet. I'm still considering making a sort of plan for myself at least... Hope you have an excellent week, either maintaining the 2lb loss or losing a bit more
Well done on losing the 2lb. Your post is very encouraging.
This is the end of week 2 for me and I had 3lb on after losing 5lb last week! I'm so disappointed because I didn't do things that much different than the week before. Although I've been very tired, busy and stressed this week. Anyway, I'm determined to keep at it and get 20lb off for good.
I remember that you had a large loss in your first week, and so you've gained back 3 of those pounds, but that still means you've lost 2 pounds over the 2 week period, and that is good! So please try not to be disheartened - you're sticking to the plan despite having had a tiring, busy and stressful week, and that's all credit to you that you've managed to do that! Stress can affect us in quite negative ways, and stimulates our hormones (adrenaline and cortisol) and that can get in the way of weight loss sometimes, but thankfully you're still 2 pounds down from where you started 2 weeks ago, and that's really good!
Just keep going, and try to see if you can relieve your stress in some way.
great news for you so pleased as i know last couple of week have not been the easiest
lets hope this is the start of your final push ,
i have had a mixed week great start thurs eve girls night out so chinnese and that put the rot in ,i got seirous munches on frid just every thing and any thing so cross with my self but after a good talk to my self as i was falling asleep got up back on track ,and managed to stay the same so in a way im happy wont be doing that agine enjoy your week penny
Well done for maintaining your weight despite going out for a Chinese meal and despite the serious munchies you experienced. That talking to that you gave yourself has obviously been beneficial! Great that you're back on track again, and hopefully you'll be back to losing again very soon!
I'm ever so happy this week !! Last Monday I was 99.3kg (15st 8.8) and I had a goal all wee to finally get in to 97,9 lol just cuz i wanted to finally see the 7 on my scale... well Happy to say i m even less. Today I weigh 97.1 (15st 3,8) that 5lb off for a week !! I can finally say I am on the right track of loosing weight! All because of healthy eating and Week 2 running on Couch to 5k
Goal for next week will be 96,5 (15st 1,6) at least!
Morning Lowcal! I am very happy to read that you lost 2 pounds! Good work! In week 10 I have lost 400g/0.9 pounds and my BMI is 27.2 (overweight). Once again, I've had a stressful week at work and had no will to exercise.
So I am not happy about my weight today but I am wearing a new pair of jeans according to my new size, I am feeling confident and I am not giving up. I think this week I will be able to stick to my healthy routine.
Good luck! Exercise, even just walking for a mile a day (about 20 mins) will make a big difference, physically, mentally and in terms of confidence & well being. Go on - give it a go!
I'm glad you're wearing your new jeans in your new size, and you should wear those with pride! It's great that you're feeling confident and not giving up, and I'm sure you'll stick to your healthy routine this week, as you sound really motivated! Congratulations on losing 0.9 pound this week, despite having a stressful week at work and no will to exercise. That's great progress, and although you mentioned that you're not happy with your weight today, I hope you'll feel better about it by next week, as hopefully you'll have a good healthy week ahead, and the scales will reflect that.
Congratulations on your loss this week. You must look very different to when you were over 18 stone and of course the benefits for your health at losing so much weight sensibly.
I weighed in at 12st10lbs today which due to the lack of loss last Monday because of my periods works out at 3lbs over the two weeks. Only 3 lbs to lose before I'm clinically overweight as opposed to obese - can't wait!
Many thanks for your kind words. I do look a lot different to how I used to look.
Congratulations to you for losing 3 pounds over the last two weeks, that's really great!! You're getting closer to a different weight category, and that's really great progress.
Well done!! On the way down - 2lbs is a great achievement and a good reward for your patience and perseverance. Your target weight is well in sight again.
I am having similar problems with my last stone - I have lost nothing this week - still 11st 13lbs - and had a bit of a blow out over the weekend with 2 mother's day meals - the mains were ok - but I had pudding as well both times.
I have really lost motivation and focus on healthy eating - I have not been planning or calorie counting at all. I am still keeping up the exercise which is good. Just don't know where to find the push that has helped me lose 2 stone. I am also so busy, have too much work, lots of family issues to deal with, a dreaded visit to the dentist - it is all exhausting, distracting and testing my resolve. I had a desperate urge to go and buy a whole chocolate cake the other day and eat it all - I resisted thankfully.
My target this week is to try and get a grip - and find some motivation...
I think you've done well to maintain your weight despite 2 Mother's Day meals - that was a challenging weekend! Sounds like you've got a lot to deal with at the moment, and its understandable that you're feeling that your resolve is being tested to the limit. I'm glad you resisted the urge to buy and eat that chocolate cake - you'd have felt very sick afterwards, most likely.
I hope the dentist visit comes soon, so you can get it out of the way. I wonder if there's anyone that you can share your load with in terms of the family and work issues - maybe just having the opportunity to talk things through with a good friend or family member, or colleague.
I hope you manage to find some motivation this week, and that you're able to move forward positively - it's good that you've not gained any weight, and hopefully you can have a better week now that the Mother's Day temptations are out of the way.
Massive congratulations on the 2lb weight loss this week, bang on target! It's great to read how far you've come in your weight loss journey - it's so easy to get caught up in the here and now of losing a bit then putting on a bit then staying the same. To be able to look back and say that you've lost over 5 stones to date is a fantastic achievement that you should be really proud of.
I have stayed the same this week at 11 stones 12 pounds :(( I have definitely overeaten this weekend, I started with an Indian takeaway on Friday evening, lunch with my daughter including cake Saturday lunchtime, followed by Chinese takeaway Saturday evening and then culminating in mother's day lunch yesterday. I feel that I have also imbibed far too much wine and G&T's over the weekend. Realistically I should be grateful for a STS and will have to try really hard to not put on this coming week.
Oh to be tall! I have always wished to be tall rather than a very average 5 feet 5 inches. If I was as tall as you I would be at the lower end of a healthy weight but alas I am a good stone at least off being there so must soldier on.
Sounds like you've had a very sociable weekend, and enjoyed some delicious meals and drinks - I think it's really good that you've managed to maintain your weight in those circumstances! Well done! You're still in the 11's, and that's great! Hopefully you'll be able to keep on track this week, now that Mother's Day weekend is out of the way, and there are hopefully not many temptations in the path for this week.
Thanks so much for your encouraging words. They are much appreciated!
Morning Lowcal, way to go girl well done! I was 10.12 yesterday so about the same as last week I think. Some restraint shown this week, but not quite enough 😳 no dessert at a meal out Saturday. Not off to a good week as have already missed 3 classes, however not worried too much about weight it's the half marathon on Sunday and my birthday on Monday so I will weigh in just to keep account, mostly we are all doing well at keeping account and it seems to be paying off have a good week all😄
Well done for maintaining your weight this week, and for showing some restraint during the week - especially regarding not having a dessert when you were out on Saturday night.
Good luck with the Marathon on Sunday, I'm sure that will more than compensate for your 3 missed classes. You're doing great at keeping account, and like you say, it seems to be paying off for us.
Wishing you a great week ahead.
Lowcal
Hi Lowcal so good to read that your weight has started to drop again and that you are able to walk etc pleased you are better after being unwell so long. Keep up the good work.
I have lost 1.1lb this week so that's one of the two I put on last week. I am 12stone 7.7lb this week so just 7.7lb to reach my target of 12stone for my birthday in July.
I was doing really well to start this week but felt my diet was sabotaged by a friend who insisted on taking me to the pub for a sandwich. There was nothing small or low calorie on the menu! It was lovely though! Also my son and his wife had put a lot of effort into Mother's Day with lots of home cooking! It's the first Mother's Day in years that I have had it done for me so I determined to make the most of it.
Well hopefully I will be back on track this week and stay on track. I want to be able to set a new target on my birthday and not be still struggling with my current target.
Thanks very much for your kind words. They are much appreciated.
Congratulations to you for losing 1.1 pound this week, and you're getting ever closer to your goal of being 12 stone for your Birthday in July. That's really great.
Really good to hear that you were treated for Mother's Day in such a lovely way - treats now and again and special occasions are part of life, and should be enjoyed!
Wishing you a good week ahead.
Lowcal
That's really good news, well done! Hopefully you will find another successful weigh in next week too. You are very tall so you are doing so well. As you say the maintenance of the loss is tricky and I am hoping Easter doesn't produce a weight gain! I am struggling at the moment as every bit of food seems desirable, think it's that end of term feel. Oh well, have a good week.
I'd forgotten about Easter - thanks for reminding me of that, I need to think of a plan to survive it without overeating and sabotaging my progress. Like you say, it's hard to maintain weight loss, especially when festivals involving massive chocolate Easter eggs arrive - they seem to be everywhere once your attention is drawn to them…! I am considering having a small egg (one of those really small ones) as an Easter treat, instead of having a large one.
I hope you enjoyed the weekend and that you're having a good week.
Sorry to hear you've gained a pound this week. If you can't think of any particular reason for the gain, then just keep on track and persevere, and hopefully the weight loss will show on the scales next week. Sometimes we can gain weight due to fluid retention, effects of hormones, or other factors.
Try to keep positive, and on track. Hope you have a good week ahead.
Hi Lowcal, well done on your brilliant weight loss journey, I enjoyed reading your post very much because I think I am a very similar build to you, I am 6 foot and a bit, at the moment I am weighing in at 13 stone 2 pounds, I'd like to get to 12 and a half by the end of this 12 week program. I'm in size 16s mainly but I'd like to be in 14s. I have been bigger (16 stone plus after pregnancies) but lived in leggings and avoided the scales! I dropped to 11 and a half stone 3 years ago when I separated from my ex-husband but as I was smoking loads and most of my calories were from wine I didn't look good! Luckily now I'm not smoking or drinking too much booze so am miles healthier - but the weight has crept back on slowly and I'm feeling 'big' again. I'm in week 3 at the moment and I've lost 5 pounds which I'm really pleased with, but the initial keenness for all things healthy has worn off a bit! I think this week I have stayed pretty much the same, it has been a tough week with 2 big Birthday dos and Mothers Day, and only managed one exercising day. However I have a pretty clear week coming up and am going to make more time for exercise. I love swimming and running but I should do more core exercises as my tummy is my problem area.
Where do you find clothes that suit tall people? I get so frustrated sometimes out shopping. I've recently discovered Gap do an online range called Tall which is good.
Good luck with the last stone I am sure it will come off it sounds like you are doing all the right stuff!
Thanks so much for your post - it's great to hear from someone of a similar build and height - and similar weight too, with very similar weight loss goals. Wishing you the very best in achieving your goal to be 12 stone 7 pounds by the end of the 12 week programme. Congratulations on losing 5 pounds over the past 3 weeks, that's really great progress. Also well done for maintaining that loss despite 2 big Birthday Do's and Mother's Day. That must have been a challenging week!
Regarding clothes for tall people, I order trousers and jeans and dresses from Long Tall Sally mail order, but find that I can also buy dresses and skirts etc from outlets like Fat Face and Debenhams. My legs are the longest part of my body, so I have no problem buying tops and T-shirts from anywhere. Good to hear about the Gap 'Tall range' - I'll have to check that out.
Hope to see you again on here - I have been doing a regular Monday weigh-in for at least a year and a half now, or thereabouts, and if you'd like to join us for future weigh-ins, please do! You would be very welcome. I usually post between 7am and 7.15am on Monday mornings.
Do you calculate your BMI using the 'new BMI'? It's supposed to be more accurate to use that one if you're taller. One of my friends told me that she thinks I'll look 'too slim' if I get to 12 stone 7 pounds, but I hope that I'll look ok, as it will be within the middle of the normal BMI range (on the new BMI) - I'm amazed that you were down to 11 stone 7 pounds at one time, you must have been incredibly slim looking at that point.
I'll look in to the new BMI thingy, though I find that exercising is what makes me feel happier with my body as I don't wobble as much - which isn't matched by numbers dropping on the scales!
11 and a half stone didn't look good, I only lost it through stress. I think around 12 and a half is just right.
I don't suit skirts or dresses at all I think coz I don't have much of a waist. I live in jeans!
Have a great week, I will weigh in on Monday, I'm weighing in Fridays at the moment but it might be a good idea to keep on track over the weekend!
