My local library service recently started a digital audiobook loan scheme and I noticed there were some weight loss resources on there, so I decided to give it a go. Losing weight has involved more conscious attention than I would like it to... meaning that it could be derailed if other aspects of life were to present major challenges which took over that mindspace. So I liked the idea of a helping hand for my subconscious.
And I think it may be helping - and that is even though the scripts (I've used a number) go into umpteen reasons for being overweight that don't really apply to me and are generally a bit irritating, and even though I already have straightforward relaxation/meditation in my life. It's not going to do all the work but I believe there have been fewer situations where I have eaten more than I wanted to so that I have regretted it afterwards.
