Hi. I'm 7 weeks 4days pregnant. Have my first midwife appointment next week. I have been having severe heartburn and intermittent vomiting. Walked into the GP but they probably didn't consider me as emergency enough with the coronavirus priority. Have tried Gaviscon and spacing my meals but it's not helping. Did anyone have similar symptoms. What do I take to relieve it

Heartburn at 7 weeks
I bought the gaviscon milk which I found better than the chew tablets, not sure which ones you've tried.
Very bland food and eating little and often helped me, it did get better for me in the middle of pregnancy and then worse at the end again . Best of luck
You're probably best going to a pharmacist for advice on what to take etc and like Seb says, eating little and often.x
Drinking lots of cold water in small sips helped me a lot. Also not eating anything with any artificial ingredients, even chocolate, made it a lot better. I am currently only eating bland food and like the other two replies, little and often. Skip spices, fried and heavy meals and it should get better 😉 I haven’t tried yet but heard eating peeled almonds helps too xxx
Good luck with your pregnancy 🤰
Ahh yes I remember this stage well. Was not nice. Had such bad heart burn and vomiting too. Found liquid gaviscon helpful and like others said v small bland meals. It will hopefully pass hun. Mine did after 11-12weeks. As others said see what midwife says and poss pharmacist. Gp wouldn’t be able to do anything. Just can be part of pregnancy. As said it will hopefully pass 🤞🤞 best wishes xx
