Hi all,
I am almost 34 weeks pregnant. I have suffered immensely in this pregnancy. It's a very much wanted rainbow baby after many years of loss and infertility. I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum in the first trimester. I lost 15% of my body weight, had severe anaemia and inability to keep any fluids down. At my worst I was throwing up over 40 times a day. I've had a torn oesophagus, a hiatus hernia and damaged uvula in the throat due to the severity of the sickness. I've pretty much lived in hospital on IV fluids, at least twice a month.
I finally had some reprieve after starting on a different medication regime. I had 4 weeks of being able to manage. Only being sick maybe 5 or so times a day.
Now it's come back I am at a loss. The doctors say its so rare to continue this late and they have offered steroids. I've done a lot of research and I know they are safe.
I guess I am just wondering if anyone else has had gotten to 34 weeks and had a relapse to HG? I swear if one more person calls it morning sickness I might lose it. I would just kill for normal morning sickness. I am currently sat here with a nose bleed from being sick so forcefully, bleeding gums and a migraine so severe triggered from already being sick 6 times since 6 am...
If you've had HG I would love to hear your experiences.
