Does this warrant a drs appointment?

Sorry I wasn’t actually sure where to post this query on this site!

I’m 26 weeks pregnant. My husband is believed to have a chest infection but the doctor wasn’t 100% sure. He had lowered oxygen, high blood pressure and a temperature in addition to a sore throat and chest pains.

I’ve had a cough for the past few days and it’s really ramped up today and yesterday. I can’t take a full breath without wheezing or coughing. I’m not in pain though. I just don’t feel like my breathing capacity is at 100% but I know that sounds melodramatic. I’m asthmatic so I’m going through my inhaler like crazy. I haven’t been able to sleep.

If I wasn’t pregnant I wouldn’t be bothered. Does this warrant a GP appointment or am

I just being silly? I don’t want to bother the doctors for just a cough.

Also If we are both contagious I really don’t want our nearly 12 month old to get it! She’s already had rubella this month.

I would go and get your self checked out you dont want your self getting worse... it's always better to be safe than sorry x

Not silly at all. You have asthma, are pregnant and a young child at home. Go and get checked in case it’s a chest infection x
