Diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 25 weeks

Any ladies have experience with this. I was diagnosed yesterday after a week of feeling really shitty. I have the clinic on Monday but I’ve been googling (stupidly) and I’m worried about the effects it may have on my baby.

Hi noobs. I was diagnosed with this had a total meltdown, but was actually fine. If you are on Facebook there is a group gestational diabetes UK and it is fab! Once you have been to the clinic you will hopefully feel better, I know I did. Mine was well controlled, I had no complications and other than it being my hospitals protocol to induce a week early and extra scans it was along the lines of a "normal" pregnancy. No side effects for me or my lb who is now 4 months old. Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy. Xx

Hi Noobs , i was diagnosed with GD..Just go to the clinic and speak to the Midwife you will feel much better...i was in a panic too when i heard the news but was absolutely fine throughout my pregnancy....no complication at all...i was on Metformin then...just had some extra scans and fortnight hospital visits..i was just fine...My lil one is now 29 months old...good luck hun xxx...you will be fine..nothing to worry at all...
