Just been told I should have a planned c-section, and it's really not what I want.

This is my 5th baby and I'm under consultant care as I'm considered very high risk due to 2 previous placental abruptions which resulted in 2 emergency c-sections at 28wks and 31wks. However I've also had 2 natural births at term, so the advice I was given was to have a planned section mainly because of my scar rupturing during labour . I really don't want this but I don't want to go against docs advice or put baby or myself in any danger so if I have to then I will . Had a long chat with midwife and she said it's my choice.

So I was wondering if anyone has had 2 sections then a natural? Also any similar births, stories, advice, or opinions I would love to hear. X .

I've had 5 my first was natural but had a postpartum hemmorage then a section 15months later hemmoraged Again Then 3 natural deliveries....i spoke to my consultant about a section due to other problems i have that are nothing to do with baby and she pursuaded me to go for a natural..it also depends on how big ur babies are over 8 1/2 lb u have to have a section due to the scar rupturing...I luckily was fine my friends scar ruptured she had a 10lb baby...I think u should go on the advice of ur consultant personally because they are usually so pro natural after a section but u have had 2 sections and the abruptions so u have to think seriously about what u want to do also now if u have had more children u have to have a drug for 4 hours after delv because were a higher risk of bleeding after delv...its such a hard decision x

I had my first 2 naturally and then 3rd emergency sec at 32w. I would wave the natural flag all the time but if that is what they have advised is best for you then I would take there advice. At least you know it is planned and you can get plenty of extra help for your other little ones for after the section. I know you know you body but I would leave it in the hands of the professionals.
