Has anyone tried memantine, the generic medication for Namenda for chronic migraine?
My neurologist has told me that she has a patient that was prescribed memantine to treat migraine and it is helping her, but she has never prescribed it for this. She wanted me to try aimovig first, which I did and it did nothing. So I was thinking of trying it. I’m finding some dizziness as a side effect

Memantine (Namenda)
I was wondering if anyone had success with Memantine for treating some of their OCD symtoms (as off label usage). I don't take well to SSRIs and after taking the GeneSight Psychotropic test, it was pretty evident that my struggle with previous SRRIs wasn't just in my head, since I pretty much have significant

Most psychiatrists suck....
One time I told my doctor that
namenda
reduces Adderall tolerance and he looked at me like I had 3 heads. Turns out, there are promising clinical studies demonstrating the efficacy of
namenda
/memantine in ADHD. Psych doctors make me want to bash my head against the wall from frustration.

What about Namenda/ Memantine?
Can anyone tell me of their experience with
Namenda
/Memantine? My mom just went down three points on her cognitive test, so they want to add
Namenda
to her Rytary and Excelon patch. Are there many side effects?

Memantine?
(Brand name
Namenda
in the US). I am planning to try it again for my migraines/auras and started researching again (at 4 am due to my fun insomnia). Apparently there is a correlation between migraines and Alzheimer’s which got me googling studies again.

Let me introduce myself.
I also take ZOLOFT, MIRAPEX, AMANTADINE,
NAMENDA
(a precautionary measure) and MIDODRINE (for low blood pressure). I’m reluctant to share dosage amts as everyone’s needs are so different. •I’m not a candidate for DBS since it’s primarily used for severe tremors, which I don’t have.

Namenda + Exelon
My Mother started
Namenda
a month ago, then added an Exelon patch one week ago with the hope that these would help her gait freezing. The problem is actually getting much worse! Has anyone experienced such a paradoxical effect?

Starting trial
Even though patients don't know whether we will get total treatment or memory preserving treatment ( it's called hippocampus something I can't ever remember) any way they are offering
namenda
a drug that delays memory problems caused by radiation (not prevent just delay) but if I receive the preserving

Is dementia a normal part of PD?
His neurologist has him on
namenda
. He has no other ideas about what to do . It really breaks the families heart to see such a steep decline in a once smart and active person.

Has anyone used this medicine for PD. My mom who is 76 just started this today to help with her shuffling and balance. The docter said it is the last one she will be able to try. No other ones have worked.

Has anyone tried Mirtazapine for eating and anxiety problems? Hubby has PD with severe dementia and was taken off of Sinemet and Namenda
because doctor said they were no longer working. His appetite is way down probably because he has a hard time eating and he gets frustrated and agitated all the time. Dr. said this med might help with issues. Wondering about any side affects and if anyone has had any luck with this medication.

Ooops, I DiD It Again
He did say it has more side affects than the
Namenda
; didn't say what they were; also fine with me. Never experienced side affects from the
Namenda
. Wish me luck; boy, I need to get my head on straight; I have enough challenges and don't have time for these mental side trips.

My Neurology Appointment Didn't Go So Well This Week.
I've been taking 100 mg. of
Namenda
to help with short-term memory problems but now added dozepil (sp?). Has more side affects but said it was time to hit the memory issues with 2 guns instead of just one.

I am so frustrated that I can't do anything to help my husband with his pain and doctors aren't helping.
Only meds he is on are
Namenda
for dementia, Celexa for depression and Sinemet for Parkinson's. Any suggestions??

I've been on a memory med, Namenda, for 1 month. Has anyone experienced side-affects from this med, specifically chest pain?
