Hi All, this is something I posted about quite a while back, but thought it might be a good reminder to anyone who needs it. Today, this very lesson played out in my life in a way that made me cry happy tears!
Many of you have mentioned in one way or another, that you find it difficult to ask for help for a variety of reasons. Asking for help comes with feelings of guilt or shame or other negative feelings. I am here today with a life lesson that I learned from my therapist (credit where credit is due).
Asking for help can be a wonderful, positive experience. People, in general, love to help someone in need. Turns out, asking someone for help can make their day. When someone helps you, you may be putting a big smile on their face. Asking for help doesn't make you weak. It gives you a superpower to make someone happy by helping you. So next time you need a hand with something, don't feel bad reaching out. Make someone's day and ask for help. It can be positively wonderful. π€π€π€
