I didn't read the article, but be aware that high doses of vitamin D (50,000 IU) can cause other problems. I was on it for a few months and developed Parathyroid Disease. Now I can no longer take vitamin C or calcium. I do still take 2000 IU (50mg) of vitamin D daily.

I understand why you can't take calcium but why not vitamin C? What problem does it cause?

Apparently it also raises my calcium levels. I have high calcium levels.
