I have heard about a specific blood test, in US, that allows doctors to measure key biomarkers and evaluate a person's response to particular therapies targeting MS. This is the Octave MS Disease Activity (MSDA) blood test that analyzes levels of 18 key biomarkers that help doctors measure the level of new disease activity in people with MS.
I suppose the test should be repeated every so often so that the doctor may get useful data for his/her evaluation.
Have you ever tried this test ? Is it usefull and how often someone should repeat this test to get usefull information about MS progression?
Thanks for your response in advance.

Yes, Manos , my neurologist ordered this test prior to my next infusion, which will be in May. It’s to measure the progression of my ‘ms’. Perhaps it will be a tool to evaluate the efficacy of my DMT, and how often it should be administered. Receiving Ocrevus every 6 months might be too much or too little, and this test might be something that can monitor that.
I had octave. It demonstrated moderate activity. Via email, my Neuro said because of my continued low B cells (off DMTs for 3 yrs) there’s nothing she can do for me 🙁 I have an appointment in a few weeks and plan to discuss further. While immunosuppressive DMTs may not be appropriate for me, I’m wondering about some of the immunomodulatory .
. I have what I thought was inactive SPMS.. Because of the octave results, there’s obviously some activity.
I took the first test to get the baseline results, The future test will then be able to monitor MS progression but I don't remember how often they will be.
