Saturday is a special day a day to get ready.... MS tips?
3 pieces of “prep” advice:
1) I haven’t used it since visiting Texas in the summer- but definitely put the ice packs in the freezer if you have one of those cooling vests!
2) I also make sure we have my blue parking placard in the right car that we’re taking.
3) if you have any incontinence issues, bring extras of whatever you need (pants, undies, pads, etc)
Hope you get to travel somewhere, even if it’s out to lunch at a place with A/C 😊
For long trips, make a list of everything you'll need, starting a few days prior to leaving. Then check the item off as you pack it.
Lists. lol. I am like the queen of lists I have lists everywhere for everything. My husband and daughter make fun of me. Sometimes though I’ll forget my list. Then I’m lost and usually forget something. lol. Have fun and enjoy your trip!
If I need to remember something, I used to turn my wristwatch upside down. Then when I checked the time, I would remember what it was I needed to do. It does not work for me anymore, I just look at the watch and can't remember (sigh).
Comfortable clothes and shoes. A blanket or jacket. Pee right before leaving the house. Take drinks and snacks "just in case". And always rest up the day before.
Greetings jackiesj. Well preparation is the key. Anything you need to take with you assemble it and put it where you can easily get it (papers, items, etc.). This will save time that somehow gets filled quickly.
I always take advantage of days where I’m feeling my best and Prep my dinners. When traveling to appts, I usually take my meds and a light snack just in case traffic is bad returning home. The rest of the days I just take one day at a time and do what I can and try not to focus on the can’t so much. Blessings🙏🏾
Don't forget a cane or walker
I know those lines…😉. I make lists for things way before a trip or event so I don’t forget anything.
I like to bring some Wet Ones wipes for my hands. If you may have to use public bathrooms, bring some oversized disposable toilet seat covers. I never leave home without several in my purse!
i always try to rest a couple of days before i have to go somewhere, then plan for recovery time.
If you’re flying, make sure that your ice packs are completely frozen if you are taking in a carry on bag. Otherwise you’ll have to pack in checked luggage, found that out the hard way!
