Cancer girl update

The cancer is gone for now still weak. Just broke my ankle on the inside and outside so am in a wheelchair. But I feel okay hoping that strength will come back in my legs and all this chemo and radiation leave my body and my foot is okay. For right now no surgery on the ankle had to move back to Maryland with my kids because I can no longer live alone.

You hang in there REDLIPS44! I am sorry about your ankle, on top of everything else. But so glad the cancer is gone! I am 9 yrs cancer free but still remember the complete lack of strength from radiation. Took me 7 seconds to walk from waiting room to treatment room on my first radiation treatment and 3 minutes on my last. But I walked. You will get your strength back. It just takes a while.

It’s so good to hear from you and to be cancer free, fantastic. Also it’s good news that you were able to move to your family, now rest up and concentrate on building your strength back up. Keep in touch, big hug, blessings Jimeka 🤗

Hooray!!! Cancer free!! 🎉🎊🎆🎇✨🤸‍♂️🤸‍♀️🎶🎵🎶

That's great news!

Hopefully the ankle heals quickly so that it stops raining on your ability to walk in the cancer free parade.

You are carrying more than your share of burdens right now. I hope living with your children will help lighten the load. The ankle may take a long time to regain strength: it's a fragile joint that must withstand great forces. As I recover from my broken ankle of last September, I now have discovered that sitting in the wheelchair caused many muscles to take a holiday (that they are reluctant to return from). So be good to yourself (eat as healthily as possible and get plenty of rest), and be patient with the healing processes that your body must go through. And when you need to pound a few nails, remember that we are here, ready to hammer with you.

So nice to hear from you, REDLIPS44 about being cancer free but not about your ankle. Take good care of yourself and continue on you road to recovery, my friend! :-D

Congrats on being cancer free REDLIPS44 , that is GREAT news! I'm sorry to hear about your ankle though. That could take a while to heal up so take it easy and try not to overdo anything (I know, easier said than done) lol

Have a great day,

Jessie

SO glad the cancer is gone and pray it will remain so! A broken ankle is tough but better than the cancer! I hope you can enjoy Maryland and your family and not let the loss of your freedom bother you.
