I want to give everyone a big hello and hug! I have been absent for a number of reasons. You know my dearest friend Jonnie is dying of cancer, everywhere in her tiny body. I finally got her in a hospice facility when she confided in me that her daughter was completely abusing her! She was starving, literally, etc. She probably has a week, maybe ten days. So I spend as much time as possible with her. She has so many beloved friends. But I grieve.
I was not sure what to do with my life. Our house sale closes, Lord willing, on Dec. 3. So I rented an Airbnb in Branson, Missouri from Dec. 7 to Jan 7. I am considering moving there and this will allow me to make sure I love it and find a permanent place. Look it up if you can. It is a charming, small touristy town in the Ozark mountains with tons of lakes. Christmas is supposed to be magical. It will be a 19 hour drive, but I will break it into small pieces. Love to all, give me your feedback please, I so welcome it. Feeling confused about life but really need a fresh start. Love, Kelly xxoo

Hello Kelly, it has been a little by time. Glad you’re doing ok but sorry about your friend 🙏🏽. Spending time with her will make you and her feel so much better, so make her final days the best you can.

Kelly, you were so much on my mind this morning, and then I come on here and there is a post from you. So good to hear from you. I am so sorry about your friend, be with her as much as you can but don’t be disappointed if she slips away while you go for coffee, some people like to slip away on their own. Be assured that she will appreciate everything you have done for her, so enjoy her last few days and be certain that you have done your best, because you have. jimeka as always you offer wise words. I am spending as much time with her as I can, however, knowing what a rascal she has always been, she will probably slip peacefully away when I am not there. She is in such pain, it will be somewhat of a blessing, as I cannot bear to watch her suffer. It is everywhere, even in her arms, which she says hurt unbearably. Thank you for your friendship. kdali Thank you for writing, I know how busy your life must be. Give V a love from me. I am grateful Jonnie is safe now and getting wonderful care. She is quite heavily medicated at this point, but we have had some marvelous talks about life and death over the past few weeks. Everyone else was afraid to talk to her about dying, but I knew she needed to talk about it, and I am so grateful I had those conversations with her. She is not afraid to die, and for this I am grateful. My eyes are flooding with tears at the thought of losing my dearest friend. But it is the cycle of life and death. Thanks for letting me share. I’ve been there holding hands and waiting for the next nap to be over so we can talk more, and it’s so so hard, but I’ve been grateful for each last second. Your strength is massive, Kelly! kdali it’s so strange, people keep using that phrase to me, that my strength is so huge. I feel so inept and weak. I am so sad to lose her and I know that is so selfish when she is suffering so badly, but after I lost my mom and dad 18 days apart two years ago, she became even more special to me. Kelly, you are a marvel. Knowing that you have suffered so much pain yourself, yet still show such tender love for this woman is a testament to your character. I’m so sorry for what she has suffered, both as a result of that disease, but worse yet from her family. Thank God you have been looking out for her.
The Ozarks would be a lovely place to start fresh. I lived in that area for about a year long ago and loved the beauty and the people there. You will be a beautiful addition.

But I must clarify, I am NOT a marvel. I am simply a woman who dearly loves deeply those in her life. This has been such a painful few months, but I have pushed through it all. I am grateful to everyone here for the strength that has been given.
I am so happy to hear your comments about the Ozarks! I am simply thrilled to be spending the holidays there. I am volunteering on Christmas Day to serve dinners to homeless persons, since I won’t be with family. My ex-husband and I did that a few times and it is a wonderful experience. Welcome back! You were missed. So very sorry to hear about your friend, but what a blessing you are to her to be there in her final days and to protect her from her daughter. I think your proposed move to Branson is wonderful. it is a beautiful, idyllic place and perfect for one to get away from it all...if you can avoid the tourists. My husband and I are both from Arkansas originally. Long before we ever dated he sold timeshare condominiums in Branson. (Just across the Arkansas state line.) Branson is known as the clean Las Vegas, because they have TONS of “clean family entertainment”, including Live Stage Shows and Lighted Signs down the Strip. My son went there with my mother in law and his GG when he was little and they love it there. The scenery in the Ozark Mountains is breathtaking in places. Lake Table Rock is huge and very, very deep. The water is clear and blue. What state are you relocating from?
