MS...how nutrtion plays a role in MS
Same!
Everything I've ever read, or been told by doctors, says that diet has no direct effect on MS. But of course, a good diet can help with better general health, and this is a good thing for everyone, MS'rs included.
Don't be so quick to dismiss diet. My M.S. Neurologists, plural, used to downplay nutrition and vitamins. "A D though is good"...
I did the Whal's diet, and have heard all good things over the many years since. I stick by the following: 1. Avoid processed foods with ingredients you don't know what they are, more less pronounce. 2. Primarily fruits and veggies, with small servings of lean meats, fish, seafood.... 3. I do not discriminate regarding dairy.... but do avoid soy and a few choice items regarding my PSA (prostate). Avoiding a few things has worked for me. My levels are back to levels I had in 2010.
Regarding the M.S.: After decades with M.S., Relapse free of over 6 going on 7 years! My M.S. Neuro says I may one of the lucky ones that may simply be over it!
From too many meds to remember without a cheat sheet, to years now with none. Only Vitamins and Healthy food, and in good health.
I keep reading, diet helps, and may be the entire solution. So, if nothing else, spend precious effort on this idea! Worked for me!
