Intersting post RJ, 👍😄I am Right & it usually is my left but both sometimes, my right hip is in pain latley, but mostly it is my left, foot starts dragging if walk too much...My Neuro says RRMS, with bad relapse.
I really think it has to do with where your lesions are on your brain and spinal cord though. I am right handed and I’m affected on both sides of my body. My initial numbness was on my whole left side but the second exacerbation it was both sides.
Agreed that it probably has to do with where the lesions are. I'm right-handed and my left side is mostly affected. My right eye is the one with problems also and the neuro showed me on the MRI the lesion that's most likely affecting the problem with the right eye.
Interesting? I’m right handed, can read & print upside down and upright of course. Both sides affected. I do get halfway MS Hugs on right side from spine to center front. Told neuro last week & he said it does happen to others also 😊👍
I was right handed until MS😖. I had to relearn and become left handed. MS effects my right arm/hand, right leg, and right eye 👁. Yes I do have more lesions on the left side of my brain 🧠. Like they say most left handers are in there right mind🤪🤣😂. From what I have seen and read it depends on location of lesions in brain 🧠 and spine. 👍🙏🐾😉 Ken 🎃
rjoneslaw I am right handed; my left side is weaker than my right. When I have relapses or pseudo exacerbations, they occur on the left side. I don't know which form of MS I have. At diagnosis, the neuro said RR but I have had no relapses since diagnosis 8 years ago, though I am generally less able than I was then so maybe it is now SPMS. I have never been on a DMT
Hi Soon as. I'm right handed. Interestingly, my left hand has more mobility, paralysis. But my right leg has the more severe paralysis. When docs use that metal tool to measure feeling in my body, the left side of my body usually is less pronounced than right. I have RRMS. Hope this helps.
I seem to have rrms doc says it's still too soon to tell for sure. I have lesions on both sides but all are close to the middle of the brain. My left leg has less reflexive reaction than the right. But I've had issues with both hands not cooperating with me as well as fatigue and cognitive issues. The latest addition in the past few weeks is a feeling that something or someone is constantly choking me. The neurologist ordered new mri's on Tuesday but no appointment yet. I'm naturally ambidextrous. I've been that way ever since I can remember.
Right handed. Still RRMS. Initial numbness and MS hug were on the right side. Those symptoms remitted completely years ago. Current symptoms are either cognitive or bilateral.
Ambidextrous. My left side is my weak side but lately, I have started having tremors in both hands. Sure makes it hard to hang on to anything. I was diagnosed with RRMS in 1994.
