Well, not yet anyway. The gall bladder surgeon scheduled me for a gastric emptying test 2 days ago, and I sat down with him this morning to go over the results. Of course I failed it, but my gall bladder has been fine for several weeks now so we're putting surgery on hold. I'm to call him immediately if (when!) I have problems again, and he's more than willing to do the operation at any point if I decide to just get it done. In the meantime, I'm scheduled to see a gastroenterologist the first week of January to find out if they can give me any meds for gastroparesis. I am so happy today!
We got there early and were back in the car 10 minutes before my appointment was to have started. My son was so pleased by everything that he decided to humor me and take me Christmas shopping, so I got even happier! I found some wonderful gifts at our local discount store, and I'm nearly done shopping now.
