Cow milk proteins likely trigger of broader immune response with MS

Good read. Something to consider. I've personally removed all dairy from my diet. Occasionally, I would get almond milk yogurt when I need to have a liquid diet (like for a tooth extraction).

good read indeed! I thought it was just me, but this actually proves that milk is what makes me all puffy and feel drained! I cut it out of my diet because of that!

Almond milk yogurt. I have to look for that. It sounds very interesting

Thank you!

Almond milk yogurt is delicious but not cheap. Don't fall for soy, coconut or peanut yogurt as they're not that great for ms

Good read!! I also removed dairy for the issues it can cause. It has been better without the dairy for sure however I do miss some items. Great with all the substitutions. Just miss poutine

I use almond milk.

My husband doesn't have pain in his joints since stopping dairy.

There were lots of interesting bits in the study.

I stopped cows milk and noticed benefits even though I wasn’t consuming much more than 1/2 c yogurt/day and some parmesian cheese. Nutritional yeast is a decent cheese sub.

I don’t think that people realize that humans are the only mammals that continue to consume milk long after they should have been weaned. I didn’t give my children dairy milk and they all thrived. I can always tell how much milk a young child drinks because they will almost always have dark circles under their eyes. I was fortunate to work with a doctor who told me about all of this when I was pregnant with my first baby. I was never surprised by it! Different things for different people.

Another study that holds no antidotal help.

Did not drink milk as a kid nor do I now. Cheese, ice cream & yogurt on occasion yes but not enough that it would matter,

Like I said in a previous post, I want some real hard research not if you ate Wonder Bread four times a week you’re likely to have MS 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sorry to be a negative Nelly but I just think this is a waste of research money. I think most people have heard endlessly that a healthy balanced diet limiting dairy and saturated fat is a healthier choice for anyone.

I tried to post again quickly, but my internet was down for a minute. I’m definitely not saying that everyone should not give their kids milk. That’s why I said different things for different people. I know that many people rely on milk constantly for things, and I respect their decision. 😀 I remember when my mother in law gave my kids milk behind my back and how upset my husband would get. He was caught between a rock and a hard place!
