Still Alive…

It’s hay harvest time here at the ranch, lambing is done but the little lambs constantly escape the fences, weeds attacking the garden, and new very cute piglets hogging all the attention. Little time to stop the tractor at the river and enjoy a few minutes with the dogs, let alone type on the phone!

Biggest WIN this month over MS…. I carry a medium sized cooler full of freezer packs, water and my spare cooling vest in the tractor. When I feel the heat coming on I stop, change out cooling vest and dunk my shirt in the ice water. What a great MS Hack!

I envy you that river! All I have is a sulphur creek. Any chance of seeing pics of the piglets?

I remember many summers on my uncle’s cattle ranch harvesting hay. They are fond memories to me I envy you.

There is clothing that cools you down when it gets wet either from water or sweat. One brand is Arctic Cool but I am sure there are others. Glad you got to carve out a few minutes to stop and enjoy the view!

Amen to that. Every wìn with MS is a win, no matter how small. What a great attitude! One thing you might try adding to your cooling routine is to get yourself a cooling bucket hat. Then, every time you dump your T-shirt in the ice water to cool off, dump your bucket hat into the ice water and stick it on your head. And that will cool off your head as well as the T-shirt cools off your trunk! 😉🤗 Fancy59.

Thank You! I have a similar style hat. I bought some white long sleeve cotton shirts. They hold water longer and the long sleeve reduces sun exposure (Mayzent requires this)

I’m a farmer too love our life . Found out about sonic ice ! It stays frozen longer and so refreshing. 2$ a big bag . Yep coolers full of ice pack water . I.v water addition. Once the humidity gets high ihave to stop or pass out lol . Between the peach orchards and weedy gardens. One must take the electric tricycle to the river smoke one or eat one dip in the river . Now the river is calm for rafting . Afternoon delights. Can’t go to the mesa to many bugs . Bug bites mess with the rrms

I’ve started packing ice packs in to my bed . If I find the advertisement I’ll share . It’s so hot today peach season is here . There’s no way I can go out side . I start passing out . Had an infusion Thursday today I can’t get out of bed . My body is breaking lol
