Cooling vest

I’m always looking for a new and improved cooling vest. I have a Polar and like it but it’s a bit bulky. I recently tried ThermApparel. Its definitely not bulky but it did not cool. The cooling packs are only in the back of the vest and so the part of the vest that wraps around the sides and abdomen seemed to make me hotter. And then my body heat warmed up the back cooling packs 🙁

Idk if anyone was considering this vest but this was my experience.

Yes I got the new vest also. It lasts about hour and half. Not as cooling as the old vest but like you say light lighter. I use it when I mow the lawn and it’s pretty much melted when I am done ✅. Wore it to a car show and was in the shade most of the time and lasted 2 hours. Not overly impressed 😣. Like you say you’re stomach sweats like crazy with no cooling. I need to look around more too as my old one was wore out and dirty. Also I have not found it since our last move🤷🏼‍♂️Let me know if you find anything 👍 Ken 🐾🐾

I’m sticking with the Polar vest for now. I’m returning the thermapparel and eating the return mail cost 😬

I've got one made by STEEL. It's a little heavy when all of the ice packs are in but it really keeps me cool. I got it from MSAA a couple of years ago.

I just checked the MSAA website & they still offer the STEELE vest. It has ice pack strips that go on each side of the front & back. It is heave at first but you get used to it.

Thanks for the heads up. Did you write a review on the vest on the site where you bought it, to warn off others who may not see this post?

I would feel funny about that since I’ve been talking to them via phone and they are a small business from my hometown but I let them know the problems with their vest.

Ty so much for sharing! I’m always looking for “the one”.

I used my polar yesterday and had to take out the front bottom packs because I guess ice and baby don’t feel very good. I hate that I have to wear the neck wrap too to feel good...I mean, I didn’t die, but I also only lasted 45min and I generally like long walks plus time on the play ground, and the neck doesn’t last.

I’m grateful to have something! It’s also more humid here than in the Caribbean right now, so I’m just annoyed at everything 😡😡😡😡 ignore my rants 🤣 but please let me know when you find “the one”!
