G'day, Relapsing-remitting ms (RRms) Sisters and Brothers. I said this to somebody today but it bears repeating to the family, especially to YOU newbies. SLOW DOWN. This is not a race, no points are given for the first one in the ground, SLOW DOWN, and take your time this is a new experience for us. The answers are not obvious the questions that YOU want to ask are not either. SLOW DOWN and give yourself time, for YOU have a lot of that now, The biggest question is the easiest. Take the strongest Disease-Modifying Therapy (DMT) available. Ocrevus I believe, that is a good place to start. After that SLOW DOWN, YOU can and will start to do this, YOU CAN DO THIS, just slow down and give yourself q little time.
Remember YOU can do this.

Good motivating words! Friends don't forget, there will always be questions because things always change. But don't be discouraged. There is always support. This is a fantastic place to turn to. I have gone from RRMS to SPMS and on my 5th treatment started with Copaxone all the way to Ocrevus. Ocrevus works for me. One other treatment worked but I developed JCV so I could no longer take it.
Royce, I needed this last night. Too many thoughts whirling around in my head, and I was going full speed ahead.
Word came down that I'd be attending a funeral on Monday. I'm of the blue jeans-and-tshirts generation; I haven't had my dress suit out of storage in several years. Does it even still fit? Oops. I gave my good shoes to my daughter's friend for a court appearance and never got them back. I need new nylons. Do I really want to wear a skirt, or should I buy dress pants?
Hurry to get dressed. Scramble to find a ride. Have a moment's panic in Walmart's parking lot when the wheelchair won't go. Silly girl. The batteries are in upside down! Find what I need, try to get my hair cut. They can't fit me in until today. Go home utterly exhausted only to discover that the shoes and pants don't really fit.
Good thing I'm going back today, but now it's pouring down rain and my driver is sick. I was hunched over this morning, barely able to walk, and I asked myself WTH was I doing? SLOW DOWN! So, I cancelled the hair appointment, cancelled the ride, and just stayed home. I wore my pajamas all day, had a relaxing lunch, and then curled up in bed to watch reruns on TV. If I intend to be there on Monday, I can't run around like a chicken with its head cut off. Just slow down.
Yes, Royce is correct, being in a hurry only causes stress, which can trigger MS symptoms. Slow down, smell the flowers, take in the sceenery and enjoy the beauty around you. If you have a question you can ask it here, call your doctor or research it on the internet. Don't make any hasty decisions, you have pleanty of time, MS doesn't kill you, it just slows you down a bit & causes you to make a few changes in your life. Thanks Royce.
