Sorry I can’t seem to search on my phone at the moment so I don’t know if this has already been discussed- has anyone tried acupuncture to help relieve MS symptoms?
Read a little on Google about how it’s not a cure and meant to help alongside DMTs and such. No major studies done with proof yet. Small studies say it helps with OAB, depression, spasms and gait. Just curious if anyone has personally benefited from it?
Thanks!

Hello Hope, Yes, i have benefitted from acupuncture. Helped with gait in the short term. maybe it helped with energy. was great for de-stressing. i gave it up because i was going twice a week for over a year but it was not covered by insurance. I was hoping for a cumulative effect but the results didn't stick. It might help you. it definitely worked for me.
I find it very relaxing and calming...but there were no profound changes in my gait, spasms, migraines. If I could afford it, I would go at least weekly just for the calming effect.
I know everybody's different. And acupuncturists have different expertise and experiences. But I don't think I have ever met anyone with MS who has been helped by acupuncture.
I think I have tried everything under the sun available for MS. Acupuncture was a complete waste of time but at least not money since it was covered in full by insurance.
I haven't tried it for MS symptoms but I did have acupuncture when I was pregnant the Dr was trying to induce labor. It worked. You can also use pressure points on your hands & feet that will help with pain & certain issues with the organs of your body.
I’ve done acupuncture for years. It’s helped me heal faster from some of my nastier falls where I had really bad bruising and hematomas.
I’ve also used it for the neuropathy in my lower legs when that gets bad. It absolutely helps when combined with the gabapentin I take. There have been positive studies in its use for neuropathy.
