Mutant coneflower?

I thought this was awfully pretty and just wanted to share it. It's growing beside my mother's house, and she never planted it! As far as we can tell, this is just a single plant.

That's the only thing we can think. She's only been there for a few years, and she had a lot of ugly shrubs removed from beside the house. That whole section has stayed bare except for where she planted a few flowers at the other end. So, it was absolutely the most perfect spot for whatever happened!

It does look like a Coneflower. Echinacea is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants in the daisy family. It has ten species, which are commonly called coneflowers. What a beautiful mix of colors. Some of them have a subtle fragrance. Great for attracting butterflies. Enjoy!
