Hi All,

In the US, March is MS Awareness month. I plan to spend this month in prayer, over myself - yes, and for all who are affected by MS. If you don't believe in a higher power, please be respectful and move on from these posts. But if you would like to, please read and join in with me in lifting up these things. My goal is to post once a day for this month.

blessings,

Laurie

Dear Lord,

It's a bit earlier than usual for me, but I am grateful to be awake. My kiddos are out for the morning with Grandma and I am grateful for the quiet in our home! How rare for my husband and I to have breakfast with just the 2 of us. Thank you for my Mom taking them for a few hours. I pray that they behave and do well, listen to her, and enjoy time with her.

It's a bit ironic, but I do pray for all of us with MS to have some time of being quiet and still. I am posting this prayer on a public forum and yet I know that I want to pause at times, not search the internet, and just be screen-free. So I pray for everyone who has MS and that they would make that space to pause, to not frantically do more research about their symptoms or a new diet or a new medicine. Let us not have constant noise of music, podcasts, reading articles, social media, etc. Help us to have the self control to not constantly check our phones or computers and to shut off the noise for a while. I pray that you would help us and that we would give it up for an hour, a day or however long, so that we can have greater clarity, more peace, possibly even better sleep. Above all, help me Lord to hear your voice and would it speak louder than everything else that is vying for my attention this day. It's a battle for me and I know that you can help me to fight for that peace of mind. Thank you Lord.

In Jesus' name, amen

Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. This group is great and I hope that you're able to search through previous posts for topics you're interested in. Feel free to "vent" and ask questions and everyone here is so welcoming.
