I saw this sweet dog at the park last year one day when I was sitting on a bench after my little bike ride. I was feeling real upset about the loss of strength in my legs and how they weren’t working the same as before. Then shortly after, Kirby came strolling and rolling in his wheelchair down the path right in front of me. His back legs have been paralyzed since birth. I thought this dog was amazing. He walked about 10 feet then stopped, rested and breathed heavy, then he was back at it again, and again... His owner was so patient with him too and she allowed me to take pics of him. Everyone at the park adored him. Kirby was just excited to be at the park and was happy with whatever he could do. There was no judgment, no competition, no race or time, but just him doing whatever he could do. I believe it was meant for me to see him that day and he taught me a valuable lesson of patience and acceptance with what I could do.
If Kirby can do it, I can do it! Hope this can be an inspiration for someone today.

What a sweet story and photo, nicoly3467 , and I do believe, like you, that things do present themselves in our lives, for a reason. Keep Smiling, my precious friend. So nice to hear from you!
i agree nicoly3467 He is an inspiration. If i was not stuck in my thoughts and feelings i would do the same. Keep going until i need a breath. stop. rest. start again. no resentments, regrets, being stuck in the past or the future. I would enjoy nature and be happy to be outside. thanks Kirby.
