I will be going to get my first covid vaccine on Saturday. The catholic church here is having a drive thru clinic. I will find out by tomorrow if my white blood cell count is back to normal. I will keep you posted on that and how I tolerate the shot

I did mine in March/April. So far I am fine. My husband with a kidney transplant did his the same time. We felt a little fatigue. My husband didn’t use his arm as much as I did, so he had a sore arm. God bless.

What a good grandma you are! Since children seem so much more vulnerable to the current virus variable, and the under 5 group is ineligible for the vaccine, yours is an act that protects both you and that cute new grandbaby.

I am so proud of you, and I am praying that All goes well with the vaccine. I just had my booster of the Pfizer with no side effects, other than a slightly sore arm, so I hope and pray that you do as well! Flap the arm that receives the shot, and it will heal much faster!

I hope it goes well for you 🙏 I have chosen not to take the vaccine. I don’t want anything injected in to me that will weaken my immune system anymore that it already has. To my understanding the first shot weekend our immune system approximately 15% and then the second shot weekends are immune system another 35%. To me it’s not worth the risk. But I hope for the best for all who do receive the shot and then it works well for them. I have known people that have been vaccinated and have had major problems afterwards. Not right away but a couple months afterwards. Things like severe headaches and then having to have brain scans only to find clots and heart issues as well. I had a family member die after receiving the vaccination. I’m not trying to scare people i’m just speaking from the experiences I have witnessed and the reason why I’ve chosen not to be vaccinated nor has my wife and adult children. As for children I don’t believe they should be vaccinated. They fight off the virus very well and in far better shape afterwards concerning antibodies. My 5 year old granddaughter and 4 year old grandson had it and had no problem getting past it. Everyone I have known that has gotten the virus has survived except one and she was in her 90’s and was in poor health. And those who had gotten covid are completely fine.

So please think it through completely and look at the real evidence for both sides and make an informed decision that you feel is best for you. What ever you do I pray it goes well for you 🙏

Thank you for your input. I was sick with covid and I don't want to be that sick again and I have talked with my doctor and others and everyone I know that has gotten the vaccine did well and are still doing just fine. I have heard that there are problems with some people. I support your decision to not vaccinate. Thank you for your prayers

"?????????? And there are plenty of people who caught COVID, are mostly recovered from it but are suffering from what is now being called "long COVID" and are very far from being "completely fine".

Now that the hihgly contagious Delta variant is rapidly moving through countries there are many more young people catching COVID and with those that do catch it more of them are getting seriously ill with it than with the original strain. Around the world there have now been millions and millions of people vaccinated and the evidence is very clear that while being vaccinated is not a 100% guarantee that someone won't catch COVID it is showing that if they do catch it then the disease is much less severe with the risk of ending up in hospital much reduced, and the odds of needing to be in ICU on a ventilator also drastically less.

Unfortunately there is no crystal ball which is effective at accurately predicting who is going to suffer badly with COVID or not - Yes there are some indicators like age and pre-existing co-morbidities but many who have died were strong healthy people who were not in their dotage. There are some people for whom a vaccine is medically unwise, but they are a very small percentage of the population. To recommend that people look at the "real evidence for both sides" is pointless when there isn't any really solid scientific evidence for the anti-vaccine "side" - when you properly research the issues using reliable and legitimate sources (i.e. not using Facebook or Dr Mercola and his cronies) you start uncovering duplicitous mis-representations and distortions of data being promulgated to promote non-medical private agendas.

I personally don’t trust much of what is being put out in the media and to be honest I don’t know who that doctor is that you mentioned. I’m not trying to split hairs over this. I only mentioned why I am not getting the vaccine. As far as the information I quoted I apologize I didn’t write down the source but I believe it to be accurate enough for it to help me make my decision. It’s not the source, just a part of all the information I have been reading and talking with some that have had real problems with the vaccine.

The doctor I trust is my doctors that take very good care of me. And I don't have a problem with you choosing not taking the vaccine. I am not advocating for any one to take the vaccine. It's my choice and after being sick with covid I prefer to be protected from this virus. I am not going by anything on any media but by my personal doctors and lots of friends and family members that have gotten the vaccine with no problems. And a few of them have tested positive for covid and 1 never had any symptoms

I pray that all is well with you, Turtlepie I was vaccinated earlier this year, and I had bloodwork done because I volunteered to be part of a study that measures the efficacy of the vaccine for individuals with ‘ms’ on Ocrevus. I have no measurable antibodies and have not been exposed to COVID-19. I hope that you have better results.

Ive had 3 vaccinations and no side effects but a sore arm each time. I respect your decision if tou choose not to. I had covid about a month ago but it wasnt too bad, i think because i was vaccinated.

My unvaccinated next door neighbor and husband of my office manager have been laid up with pneumonia from covid for 3 weeks and still counting. May have damage to some of their organs. My 78 year old dad had it was vaccinated and was up walking around the park for exercise in less than a week. My 17 and 15 year old kids got their 1st vaccines last week. I’m scared of the virus!

I had covid back in February and it was 3 weeks after finishing year 2 week 1 of the mavenclad. I was very sick but not as bad as some. I don't want to be sick like that again that is why I decided to get the vaccine. I feel good about this decision. I will keep everyone updated on how I am doing with it
