I’m in pain today but I wanted to focus on the positives in life and things that I am grateful for :

I’ve found a new podcast called FUMS (fingers up to ms). It’s really educational and quite humorous at times. It has a lot of difference perspectives of things that can help with MS. I’m sure some people already know of this podcast, but wanted to share as I find it very helpful, especially when I’m struggling. I listen to it via Spotify but I’m sure if you search it online you can find it elsewhere.

I also wanted to share something that I am very grateful for, my kitten Toby. Call me crazy (I’m a self admitted crazy cat lady and he is my child), but it seems that he always knows when I’m not feeling too good and provides the cuddles. He definitely cheers me up on days where I feel low. I’d love to hear some things that you feel grateful for or cheer you up when you are having a bad flare up.

Gentle hugs

B xx

Hi!

Yes I have recently read up about this. I have had cats since I was a little girl and have always loved them. Cats are a lot like children sometimes and they all have their own personalities. Sending well wishes to you and your fur baby.

I’ve not heard that pod cast but may check it out sometime. I totally get how you feel about Toby. Animals are a wonderful source of support and companionship. I miss my sweet pups myself. Some day maybe I will get another but the love I had for them can never be replaced. Things that cheer me up are looking at all the photos of my kids and grandkids. I love just scrolling through them. They always make me smile. Listening to music cheers me up, too. Wishing you a beautiful and blessed holiday season.

Hi, I find it really helpful! A little bit of humour regarding MS can sometimes go a long way. Please let me know how you get on if you do give it a listen. They are indeed! I’m very sorry about the loss of your fur babies, I know all too well the loss of an animal is the same as the loss of a loved one in some respects. Well that is so lovely that you have a lovely family, and it’s good to find happiness in photos and videos! I also love music and find it to be great distraction sometimes.

Take care and happy holidays 😊😊

Yes, bronniee , fur babies have an innate sense of knowing when we are not feeling our best. I have two fur babies and they are always at my side when I need them!I will look into this FUMS podcast that you speak of. It sounds interesting!

FUMS and Keep Smiling! :-D

They definitely do. I could not cope half as much as I can because of my cat. 🐱 he keeps me going! Definitely take a look and let me know what you think!

I'm sorry you are in pain.

Every night, I come up with 10 things I am grateful for.

I have been doing this for a number of years now and it creates quite an uneven balance of more good than bad....and I like it that way.:)

As for fur babies, I have 2 cats and a dog. They are very tuned into things & I find it so sweet & charming.

❤️

Your kitten is very cute!

Hi,

Thank you very much. That is a very positive practice and something I would love to implement into my night routine.

Lovely to hear about your fur babies. I plan to get more animals once I move into a bigger space, I really do think they can be the best therapy sometimes!

❤️

Thank you very much, he is around 7 months old now and he loves to sleep on the bed with me and my partner in between us every night 😴 🐱 ❤️

I'm glad you have found a podcast that is helpful, and it's wonderful to have a pet to cuddle with, especially these days!

I'm so grateful for the wonderful friends I have here, and I'm so grateful for my darling husband. I'm even grateful for my loud, snoring, pug, Dickens.

Thanks for sharing some things you are grateful for. I’m also grateful for this ability to be able to connect with people on a similar path as myself!

Well bronniee, I am truly grateful for my dog Razor. He is 15, and he has seen me through 5 operations, and he never leaves my side . Now he is getting older, it’s my turn to be understanding with him, as he has lost a great deal of his hearing, he is on gabapentin for pain, due to arthritis but I thank God for such a loving creature. It’s amazing how you can share your life verbally with an animal and they never answer you back. 😊 I am also grateful for my husband and children and particularly my 2 grandsons. The joy they give me. Finally this forum as been a life saver for me, the love and understanding and encouragement I have received from members here is without a doubt, incredible. Blessings Jimeka 🤗

He sounds like a lovely companion. I’m sorry to hear he is struggling with his health now, especially after being such a good support for you. It’s lovely to have family around you. I also feel so grateful for this forum - it’s nice to be surrounded by people who actually know how you feel!

I am sorry you are hurting. My kitties have also always been in tune with how I feel. When I was younger I had a baby who was the first who we were really in tune with each other. I remember having horrible spastic colon episodes. My Gypsy would come into my bathroom and chase her tail which would make me laugh. It was the only time she would chase her tail. She would cuddle by my stomach if that's where I had pain or my head if I had a headache. She just always knew. I have her ashes so when I am cremated her ashes will be mingled with mind.

I have three others now. One is "almost" my soul mate. Pretty close. But I love all my puddies.

That face is plenty to be grateful for..😍
